Don't bully Discord, bully lawmakers. In their post, they specifically say they originally rolled this out to comply with laws in the UK and Australia. Tackle the root cause, not the symptoms.

I promise you, nobody in Discord's dev department is super excited that they have to collect 1000s of pictures of people's IDs and be responsible for properly protecting that data.

If a platform can get into legal trouble because a child lied about their age to be on the platform, they need a way to verify who's a kid and who's an adult more reliably than just asking for a birthday. We should be educating parents and parents should be supervising their kids on the Internet.

Quit blaming the platforms for adding all this age verification. Blame the government for writing stupid laws that allow platforms to get punished for what people do in said platforms.

Okay, why is this the first time I'm watching Community? This show is the exact humor I enjoy but somehow I've only ever seen clips.

They're at whatever your local Kroger brand store is. I hope they don't crush your excitement.

I'm a sucker for limited time products and normally they're fine at worst. This one is not good at all and now I own a 12 pack. RIP

Also I mean built quite literally. It's a KBDCraft israfrel. The case is made out of lego-like bricks.

Built my first ortholinear split keyboard tonight (neglected to take any pics before I went to bed) looking forward to a day full of typos tomorrow at work as I adjust.

I guess I'm back on here. Don't know how much I'll scroll but every once in a while I feel like spitting some words into the ether. It's cathartic.

We get something similar at my local course except its a large hill that people run up and down for exercise. Hole 2,3, and 4 play across it. The people exercising are pretty oblivious.

How do I stop eating when I'm bored at home? I know I can stop being bored most days by going outside and I eat a lot less but if the weather sucks (like it did the last 3 days) I just sit at home and snack all evening. It's kind of a problem.

I don't think any OS has ever settled on a permanent design. They're always making small tweaks and an occasional large redesign. Keeps things fresh.

2 weeks ago I shot my first ever roll of film. A roll of lomocolor 92 shot in a $5 vivitar 110 camera. I just got the scans back today and they're making me irrationally happy. Here's some of my favorites. #Photography #Film

a medieval style digital drawing of an androgynous brown-skinned knight on horseback on a hill, stabbing a long gold spear into a blue dragon on the ground. the knight has a gold halo behind their head and wears a suit of silver armor with a nonbinary flag striped tunic and a trans flag as a cape. their horse is white, with blue tack with trans pride trim. there is black gothic text at the top and bottom of the image reading “A world without trans people has never existed and never will.” there’s an ornate pale blue border around the image, filled with pink and blue scrollwork, gold hearts filled with colorful flowers, a smiley bat, two smiley moles, and two smiling frogs holding up trans flags.

I really didn't think I was going to like "A Minecraft Movie" but it was really fun. Embodied the spirit of Minecraft very well.

I liked your presentation on the human side of scripting. Personally, I don't always need to see the code executed live to see the point of a talk. @franklesniak.com had a really good presentation with many screenshots of terminal which was just as effective and less "risky" than running code live.

I should have posted it when I happened but I was able to meet and take a selfie with the inventor of PowerShell @jsnover.com at @powershellsummit.org #PSHSummit25

The last 3 days have been a blur of super useful information at #PSHsummit25. I almost can't believe that today's the last day already and I'll be heading home tomorrow. Met a bunch of nice people and learned a lot. Powershell Summit is truly a unique conference.
