I've sent them the last text edits. Nothing to do now but wait, I guess.

Unless Unlucky Pierre shows up at Nardwuar HQ and tops this performance, the election is done and dusted. Great work, Nardwuar, and you too, Mark!

One could argue convincingly that they deserve it; the problem is that whatever consequences they suffer are likely to spill over - with potentially devastating impact - onto their neighbours.
Fighting a trade war with China is almost as idiotic as fighting a shooting war, and like a shooting war, will have only two likely outcomes: the US loses, and loses badly, or, unable to accept defeat, the US goes nuclear and everybody loses.
Do I have any regrets about moving to Canada? Not at all. Do I wish I'd done it sooner? Actually, yeah.

Now might be a good time for those abolish-the-government folks to explain who’s going to be in charge of air traffic control.
I’m not a big TikTok user - in fact I rarely look at it - but this rush to ban it reeks of hysteria, xenophobia, and a 1950s-style reds-under-the-bed closing of the American mind.
What was that flash of light and crashing boom?
Why, a New Year’s Eve thunderstorm, of course. Pretty awesome.
All right, this is like the best movie I’ve seen since I don’t even remember when, and if both the film and young Chalamet don’t both win Oscars, somebody is out of their ever-loving mind. Or just hates boomers, maybe.
I know there will be some who will say I’m too new here to have an opinion, but I grew up on the border and have been following this stuff since I was a kid in the 1950s. Literally since the Diefenbaker days.
🇨🇦 politics: Freeland comes out looking better than Trudeau, but that’s not hard. PM is massively out of his depth, especially in dealing with threats from the downstairs neighbours. He has to go, but how can that happen without opening the door to a far-right government? Rock, meet hard place.
I took DMT (and its longer-lasting cousin, DET) a couple times in 1967. It was interesting, but I never felt the need to try it again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone today unless you’ve got a lot of extra brain cells to spare.
Back when I was a regular at The Other Place, I was judicious about who I followed. Either I knew you personally or you were doing something fantastic. Here I’m following everyone, figuring I can delete you later if you start saying flamboyantly awful things. So far so good, and no deletions needed!
When I met Bill Clinton in 1967, he showed me this picture, told me it was his proudest possession, and that he planned to follow JFK into politics one day. I was happy to see it pop up on Twitter today because I’d been starting to wonder if I’d imagined the whole thing.
It's beginning to look a little wintry out there!
Still no snow in sight, though.
High above Montreal (the airplane, not me, silly!). I wanted to add that I have a good feeling about this Bluesky thing. Maybe this can be the one social media app that's actually social, and doesn't drive people to unleash mayhem on one another. To that end I plan to avoid any and all arguments.
I think that would be Blooskies. As in "Many of us have transformed from Twitterites into Blooskies."
Hanfu cosplay in Beijing's Beihai Park.
Taylor Swift might be superhuman, but she’s not THAT superhuman.
The sky was on fire for a moment, followed by the first sullen blast of (almost) winter.
So now this is supposed to be the ne plus ultra of social media? We shall see. Me, I still haven’t gotten over the demise of Friendster.
