I would do the same thing tbh. I would also do it again should the opportunity arise.

Opinion: On Canada’s high-speed rail plan, the numbers just don’t add up Pierre Poilievre has found a principled, conservative position on the Alto project

Oil companies: subsidized
Airline industry: subsidized
Highway program: subsidized

A lot of things “don’t add up” but we fund them anyway because that’s what government does.

Just reading the headline you’d have no idea that it was a driver that killed him and not that he crashed his bike

Honestly this is like three interconnected articles and its its gut wrenching the amount of paranoia a billionaire can have - and act on with impunity.

A white garment with some kind of food stain. Humiliating.

A pair of dirty hands rest on a car engine. Rough, tough, cool.

A pair of dirty hands rest on a car engine. Rough, tough, cool.

Here is an easy solution:

Food stains are humiliating, as they suggest you're a little baby who can't feed themselves.

Oil stains, such as those you'd get from working on your car, suggest you're tough, independent, and skilled.

Thus, simply cover your food stains with used motor oil.

BREAKING: A jury has found Live Nation and Ticketmaster to be an illegal monopoly that overcharges fans.

After the federal government settled the case, 34 states kept pursuing the giant ticket and concert company.

Now, the states have won.

My vote goes to Seattle Electric Bike in Greenlake/Bothell. Friendly staff, good selection, though they can also order most anything you request. They will likely steer you to an e-mtb or a Tern GSD/HSD/Quick.

Y'all if your coworkers die and you're told to just keep working and look away...don't.

A graphic which uses the colours of the Palestinian flag: white, black, red and green. Text at the top reads “No games for genocide”, and text at the bottom reads “Boycott Xbox, Sign the pledge”, with the website nogamesforgenocide.com below. In the middle of the graphic is an icon of a fist punching upwards, splitting a missile in half. One half of the broken missile has the Xbox logo on it, and the other half has the Microsoft logo on it.

The embargo for the Forza Horizon 6 preview drops today.

Please consider standing in solidarity with @nogamesforgenocide.com and not signalling to Xbox (and largely Microsoft) that they can count on your money.

There's no right/wrong way to protest, but you can pledge your support 🎮

I literally believe that the US should be partitioned like Germany at the end of WW2 after this. Balkanize the whole thing. Don't let any successor state have a military.

I'm not sure how you can be against removing this man from office right now. What will it take? A nuke being dropped? It's too late then. The purpose of impeachment and the 25th Amendment is to prevent that type of thing from happening, not just to react to it.

North American roundabouts are engineered to maximize car speed. Dutch roundabouts are engineered to maximize human safety.

When you physically prioritize pedestrians and people on bikes, you naturally calm traffic and make the street work for everyone.

I spent the last few days on a Congressional delegation to Cuba to see firsthand the devastation and suffering caused by the U.S. blockade of fuel.

Read my full statement.

I dont really like this framing because the USA is choking Cubans with harsh sanctions all because, what, they were buying Venezuelan oil? They were aligned with the USSR? Why should a whole nation suffer because they chose a different economic system from ours?

Cartoon showing how “bikes can carry more shopping than you think; there’s a bike for just about everyone; commuting on two wheels is great for mental health; avoiding congestion means the school run is quicker; you can leave the fuel for those that need it; and cycling is fun, healthy, inexpensive, and good for the planet.”

How we can save fuel on shorter journeys in cities — a simple, classic message that’s useful every day, but especially when fuel costs are spiking. Spread this #UrbanTruth around. Thanks to @davewalker.bsky.social & @cyclinguk.bsky.social.

When you see someone talking about how the economy is fine remember 10 American-based billionaires have the same amount of wealth as 4 billion people and move on with your day. Someone fixating on a couple of bucks in wage increases is being intentionally obtuse.
