🚨Our first 'emergency' pod?
In this special release we ask question of and reflect on the government's new draft safeguarding guidance that now includes a section on 'children who question their gender'
We've got some concerns...

It wasn't exactly how either of us planned on spending our weekend but...it felt needed.
Cora and I reflect on the new draft guidance. The consultation is live and I think we need to respond.
#edpsychs
I'm so glad to see that other colleagues do this too.
I've been doing walking thesis supervision with trainee EPs for nearly 10 years now - and it so completely changes the vibe and nature of the conversation.
#edpsychs - do you take your work outdoors?

We’re very excited to share that the Barriers to Education website has officially launched: lnkd.in/e5vmcDaQ
The website has been created to bring parents, carers and professionals together with practical, compassionate approaches that make a real difference.
Many autistic girls have never met another autistic girl. Together, we can change that. Women's and girls match fund. The Big Give.
Our peer support groups provide safe, affirming spaces where autistic girls can connect & thrive. From 8–15 October, your donation is DOUBLED thanks to the Big Give, meaning you can make twice the difference in helping us take peer support to even more autistic girls. https://bit.ly/AGNBIGGIVE
The Haven is more than just a school, it’s a carefully crafted environment where.
Learning is tailored - Education is adapted to meet individual needs and preferences. Strengths are nurtured - Talents and abilities are identified and fostered. Community is built - Learners connect with peers who understand and support them. Wellbeing is prioritised - Emotional and mental health are valued alongside academic success. Individuality is celebrated - Learners are encouraged to be their authentic selves.
So much more than online learning, The Haven is a space where learning adapts, strengths shine, and every young person belongs. Read more about our approach on our blog - https://bit.ly/HavenApproach
If we take seriously the idea that ys humans avoid others' trauma- unconsciously- because it hurts so much, then it is likely that as a society we often fail to recognise or respond to trauma.

National recognition for our work at Enable Inclusion Team these past years supporting young people, families and schools, from the Confederation of Schools Trusts (pgs 22 & 35). cstuk.org.uk/system/files... ❤️👊 #edpsychs
Well done! Really interesting write up too. The AP sector doesn't get nearly enough attention that it warrants, given the huge role the sector plays both in terms of reducing school distress/capacity to engage in education, and improving the mental health and wellbeing of so many young people.
Absolutely!
Episode 2 out now!
This one was a little special, recorded live at the edpsy festival as Cora was one of our headliners!
'A moment to think about trans kids'
A wide ranging and insightful convo - policy, history, culture, global perspectives - enjoy.
