Because then you're faced with comparing the combined artistic output of the entire site to yourself making you feel like you're not doing enough (very unfair btw) while not saying much in return when the format is just actively cumbersome to be candid and say all you wish in a post or two.
Honestly I just never mixed with that "broadcast yourself" mindset along with the enforced brevity of character limits. It's a bad combo when writing more just feels like breaking a rule and longer blog posts just look bad to read when you have a lot to say.

Such a good example as well! Just taking out a little joke from the name, and for no reason. There's a lot to be said about kinda intruding into the identity of a character by changing their name in the first place, but this one was just free points for not touching it!
And honestly unless the name itself becomes somehow tied up in some shenanigans that will make you go bald trying to make it fit within the translation otherwise (Say, Hodor off the top of the dome), it's hell of a valid peeve to have! A name is a name, changes like that rarely feel justified.
Sadly it's still in the culture wars bile vortex, which sucks because there's a whole talk brewing about the way video game translations are still handled very poorly. Translating pure strings without access to the games, lacking or completely missing documentation, headass deadlines, you name it.
