Poster from when Ireland played Israel in 2005

We've just rolled out ambient AI listening in our hospital, and my colleagues are really, really excited about it (more time doing things other than note writing). They're so excited that things like patient concerns/autonomy are lost.

We're just making up ethics as we go along with AI right now.

Your observation might hold the explanation tho - to many of us, zionists are not an externalised Other. They are part of our governments and communities and families. Support for the apartheid state in Palestine is something we fight against every day. 🇵🇸

No help to me I’m afraid, my first language is English.
But it sounds like a thorny topic from my brief reading of it. Who decides the ingroup of zionists should be Jews, when the majority of Zionists are Christians?

Emic is a new term for me. Are you using emic terminology to describe manifest destiny? Not trying to do a gotcha. I think my identity comes into play. I live in Germany where a belief in zionism has infiltrated all of society. they are not ultranationalist like the AFD, they are zionists.

Ultra-nationalist and nativist doesn’t capture the problem with the ideology of zionism which is the idea that Palestine belongs to the Jews. That’s a belief that comes from both the jewish and Christian religions. We need to be able to refer to people who hold this ideology.

Yo, check this out if you dig poliymeters in the Meshuggah/ Steve Reich vein. Not metal, more downbeat/minimalist.

Charlie Kirk was the most blatant attempt at a Horst Wessel

Reading this hit for me as I'd just learned a friend's DJ gig was cancelled cus one of the other acts was put on a dox list for a Charlie Kirk joke and the venue got so many threats they had to shut the whole thing down (yes this happened in Ireland)

The best way to tell if a bookshelf is real or AI generated is to look for The Dawn of Everything. Real life bookshelfs have The Dawn of Everything on them.

I’m not saying any of this is wrong, Its cool how many different forms of the language there are, and it makes me curious.

This one translates Liverpool phonetically as Libherpuil, instead of the standard Learphoill.

Aisling an Diabhail would be an awesome drag name

Limerick junction is gabhal luimnigh but they‘ve used choimhcheangal which sounds less … anatomical
These translations might come from before the establishment of the free state? when the Irish name of this particular train station was made official.
Also we see the americanism “top of the morning“
