Wouldn't it be just as fast to compose this inane tweet as to compose the prompt? Why bother?

Oh wow, this will be a new kind of teaching experience. Wishing you and your students happy adventures in books!
My college library stopped staffing the in-person reference desk, because no one comes in person to ask for help anymore. (They do still ask, but via chat or email, and less than before).
He is so talented! (And works so hard).
This just reminded me I bought some for my kid when they were home for reading break, and they didn’t eat it all.
Jesus and John Wayne was interesting so I'm glad she's doing women now. And it is a great title.
It is the last day of classes, my day is very full, and I just want to crawl under my desk and take a nap.
Ten years into a declared emergency.
More than 18,000 deaths.
Preventable. Still preventable.
“What has become most alarming is not only the scale of loss, but how normalized this crisis has become”

An emergency by definition requires immediate action. If you let mass death continue for a decade with minimal interventions, you do not actually think it’s an emergency, your *policy* is that some people are disposable because they use drugs.
Right? I dream of this.
I love Mr. Bucket. Mounting a high tower in his mind.
The most GenX tribute is Liz Phair's cover of the Banana Splits theme. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JvB...
Are you running?? 😉
Cats save the day again!
@authoremmabarry.bsky.social Did you see this?
Was there ever a non-AI version of Mark Zuckerberg? He doesn’t really seem human.
Another day when something I dreaded, postponed, and thought would be complicated turned out to be a simple 5 minute phone call. Done before 8am. How am I so old and still haven’t learned better?
AI has definitely not made my job more interesting or more rewarding. I don’t believe there are no good uses, but this kind of blanket statement is just hype.
Yeah, I think it is because she is smaller and younger so more agile.

Happy Gotcha Day to Ramona, who has definitely made my life better this year! ❤️ Love that she has started using the basket thingy on the cat tree, which none of my other cats liked.
What a mess.
Very not thrilled about living in a host city.

Recovering from her annual checkup where she was declared in perfect health. A nice change for me from the years of senior pets and frequent vet visits.
Using AI to create "passages" for kids to read. What are we doing. Read a fucking book. (I love close reading. You can combine that with reading a whole book, come on).
My institution has been lucky with good governance and we are in better shape to weather this than many of our peers, but it is still hurting us. And we are seeing it in huge waitlists and students who can’t get courses they need.
It’s a lever they could pull to look like they were doing something about the housing crisis. Reliance on international students can absolutely be exploitative, but this isn’t the way to fix that.
We have had so many layoffs and cuts here b/c the government suddenly cut student visas (after years of encouraging us to make up funding shortfalls w/them). And now there are fewer courses and spaces for domestic students. It is very bad.
I would read this book/watch this show.
I am so glad you two found each other!
I would love less performative Christianity from politicians, and I *am* a Christian. I could not care less if he cracked jokes about it, but yeah, someone was sitting on that until this weekend. (I agree other stuff is disqualifying).
