Third title in a row for Bosz, won earlier than ever before with great football despite an insane amount of injuries.
Doesn't get anywhere near as much credit as Ten Hag or Slot did as he's young & trendy and doesn't pick some hyped-up talents, but he's doing incredibly at PSV.

One of the better performances of the campaign but was always gonna be difficult when you need a result against the best team in the world...
Looking back, it's the Atleti result that really stings, would've got a point if not for some awful misses and that would've been enough.
I thought the 2021 Abu Grand Prix would go down as the craziest sporting event I'd ever do a live blog for. God had other plans.

Gutted to lose him, but actually think it's the perfect move for him. I don't think he's quite good enough for the top five leagues, & this way he gets to stay at the highest possible level below that while testing himself in a new environment and earning way way way more money.

So happy for Norris. He wasn't perfect, but bounced back from really bad luck (Zandvoort DNF, Vegas DSQ) and kept his cool under insane pressure incredibly well at the end.

Also the lack of analytical tools available now is a massive backwards step for me - no pass maps, heat maps, average positions etc
Pains me to say #FM26 is my least favourite FM in a while so far, the UI is just so slow & clunky & cumbersome ๐ญ The tactics & match engine are better, but given you spend a pretty small portion of the game actually in matches, the pros don't come close to outweighing the cons
I've said it before, but Bosz's work at PSV is SO underappreciated. On top of two league titles, he's got key results against tons of Europe's biggest clubs. They were so far away from those kinds of results before he joined.
Who cares if he doesn't play many youth players?
Things can sometimes go pretty badly wrong, but I'll never get bored of watching Peter Bosz coach. Such bold and creative ideas and solutions.
He's rocked up to a match vs the Italian champions with a CB at RB, a DM at CB and a LB/RB at DM, and it's working.
And to sign Isak for that much money when he's had recent injury and attitude issues and Ekitike has been looking really good is really questionable to me
Sent this during the summer when talking about Liverpool's transfers, ageing well ๐
Just don't get why they changed so much in a team that had won the league, Kerkez and Bradley/Frimpong aren't a good FB pair and they really miss Diaz's off-the-ball work
Thinking lots right now about the many people who said Gakpo would be dropped to make room for Isak and Ekitike... So key to Slot's system and their best attacker this season by a long long way
I spoke to two of Tijjani Reijnders' former coaches to find out what he was like as a youth player and why he made it to the top

In the press box at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea vs Benfica tonight, v excited to tick two big things off the career bucket list: covering a major Champions League game in person, and going to a Jose Mourinho press conference ๐
So so happy Lowry was the man to do it after all the abuse he got from Americans, and that he did in front of a stand full of them too ๐
PSV's injury luck this season is just insane. Plea and Van Bommel, the two really exciting signings, both likely to miss most of the campaign now ๐
Wrote/ranted about the problems with Ronald Koeman for work ๐๐

Looks like Dolberg could be returning ๐ Huge upgrade if so I think
get that he's a great striker in a lot of ways, but it's still mad to me that a club would pay that much for maybe the worst finisher I've ever seen ๐ญ And he's only gotten worse as he's gotten older
Arsenal stealing Eze suddenly looks less funny and more stupid given Spurs have ended up with a better player
Some interesting insights from the book:
Wild to me that Robben, Sneijder, Kuyt and Huntelaar ALL chickened out from taking the first penalty, not even they're immune from the nation-wide generational trauma ๐
Really makes me respect Van Dijk more for always having the balls to go first
Has blown my mind that so many people are saying he needs to be dropped to make space for Isak and Ekitike, has been Liverpool's second-best attacker by a long way since Slot took over and is only getting better
Main takeaway from that is that the focus needs to be on replacing Tillman rather than Bakayoko, Perisic was great but wasn't impressed by Saibari, could definitely find a better number 10 on the market
I was pretty neutral on the topic when I started writing the piece but was fully convinced she's a great option by the end of it, after taking a closer look at how well Herdman did with Canada
First Hulkenberg and then Dimitrov - an unbelievable few days for ageing unlucky perennial Nearly Men, please let this have a happy ending too ๐ฅบ
Wrote about why Hulkenberg finally scoring a podium is so deserved and means so much ๐๐

One of my fave sporting moments ever. Not sure I've ever been watching an F1 race as I was watching him hold off Hamilton in those last few laps ๐
Deserves wins, maybe even titles, let alone podiums, but so glad a bit of justice has been served ๐ฅฒ
