They're both great, but I'm really struck by how good the CGI / live action blend looks and how perfect "This neon blue camo stealth bomber is blowing up suburbia" is as a pitch to kids.

The absolute best rap about Transformers, though, comes from the G2 Aerialbots / Combaticons commercial, which also fully rules.

"The AerialBOTS are takin their SHOTS / Silverbolt's blastin COMBATICONS" has been going through my head on and off for 30 years.

If you've never seen it, I 100% think this 1994 commercial for Generation 2 toy Dreadwing is one of the best pieces of Transformers media ever.

You also get a fun rap about how cool Dreadwing is.

See I actually like the opening weekend crowds at Marvel movies lol - in my experience it's all people who are VERY invested in seeing the movie so it really eliminates annoying behavior.

I JUST got back on track with my Hulk reading list so I absolutely cannot but the urge to do a post-Crisis Wonder Woman re-read (Perez through… let’s say Simone; I’m not sitting through the JMS issues again)… it’s strong.

My favorite Post-Crisis Wondy is William Messner-Loebs’ by some margin.

The Visit got a lot of buzz as a return to form for Shyamalan and to my dying day I will never understand why. PUTRID movie that makes me angry at M. Night for subjecting us to it.

Knock at the Cabin made me just about as angry - it's just about as bad as The Visit *and* ruins a novel I loved.
