It’s a great undertone. Gives all the shadows a nice purple tinge and helps a bit with unifying everything.

Just one of the models straight out of the kit with the alt options.

and glazed that inside the previous layer. I kept adding more of the yellow and white to get to the grey green/turquoise color and repeated this to work up to my highlight. Last step was going back in with just the turquoise and glazing that in spots to add some saturation.

Might be hard to follow but the entire model gets a red underpainting then I mixed a primary red, dark ultramarine blue and turquoise to make a desaturated purple that I then glazed on 90% of the cloak. For the next step up I added more turquoise plus a bit of white and yellow to the previous mix

Progress started on the second trooper for my warband. Still WIP on the armor (I need to tone down the yellow I added in a bit) but happy with the progress so far.

If it was a metallic paint it would look shiny all over since it would reflect the light. In this case though I painted in highlights and shadows with flat colors to imitate that same look, even though my paints weren’t metallic.

Non Metallic Metal, it’s a more traditional way of painting metallics instead using hobby paints that have metallic flakes in them.
