We had a walk through St Michael’s churchyard (in Lichfield) to look for snowdrops. The churchyard is a haven for seasonal flowers.
I’m really looking forward to visiting again when the trees are filled with cherry blossom, and the ground a sea of wild garlic. 🌿
Despite not being mentioned in the weather forecast, we were pleasantly surprised by a brief flurry of snow. The delicate flakes began drifting down, growing larger and falling more quickly before finally coming to a gentle halt. ❄️

Might need to practice on my icing skills, 😅 but they turned out so good, and taste delicious! 😍
They’re made with spelt and chocolate, and we also added in a little dash of cinnamon and vanilla. 💕

It’s incredible to think that in mid-November, this tiny, delicate rose is still clinging on. As the bitter snow and frost lie around its feet, it bows its head in grateful appreciation. Soon it will lie down in peaceful slumber, drawing us towards impending dormancy of the winter months ahead.
