@johngreensbluesky.bsky.social - today my team won the Kansas Respiratory Care Society “sputum bowl.” A big part of our win was my ability to buzz in SUPER quickly on a question about tuberculosis, before the question had even been fully read. Thanks for the knowledge! #EverythingIsTB

Of course Riley County PD wasted their time and resources on this. Many cities in Kansas aren’t even worrying about THC anymore, due to being located right between 2 legal states. Busting a small business because products were slightly over the legal limit is ridiculous. #LegalizeIt
Please add a KC date!
Right? PERFECT opportunity, missed. I’m a respiratory therapy student (graduating this year!) near-ish KCK and I would nerd out so hard over seeing this book tour.
That being said- I’m cis, I’m white, I’m mostly straight-presenting. I understand that I have the privilege to be able to hold space for these conversations. Not everyone does. But if you can, I’d encourage you to. As they say in the Episcopal church “all may, some should, none must.”
This may be controversial, but I agree with Mark Cuban on this. If you read the testimony of people who left any cult, it happened because of curious, non-judgmental, open conversation with people outside of their group. My goal is to approach with love, and have these conversations.
Aw, I remember those college kids! I don’t know if I ever said thanks for giving us younger queer misfits a place to hang out. “Cortney and Erin’s house” was a safe space for us, and one of my earliest experiences with finding community.
There is now a house bill to condemn Rev Budde’s sermon, calling it “distorted.” It’s literally directly from the Sermon on the Mount, the most direct instructions on life from Jesus himself. Did these people read the same Bible I read?
I really wish caffeine didn’t make me simultaneously tachy and sleepy.
When my son was learning punctuation, he called question marks “mystery marks.” That was almost 10 years ago and I still call them that.
I’m more proud than ever to be Episcopalian.
My plan was to watch nothing relating to Trump until ESPN ruined that for me.
It’s actually so bleak that ESPN just gave Trump a 30 second propaganda slot during the national championship
Is there any way to concisely say “My sourdough starter is like my child and sewing is a hobby and I hope to have a small garden and chickens soon but I’m doing this as an act of resistance and I am not a tradwife” without looking like I doth protest too much?
Just got followed by my first pornbot. Bluesky, I have arrived.
There were so many positives in my life this year, but finding my way to the #Episcopal church was one of the biggest. The path to get there was traumatic (literally, I found my faith in the trauma bay of an ER), but I’m so grateful to have a spiritual home.
My manfriend gets this look on his face when he’s concentrating and I think it’s the absolute hottest thing I’ve ever seen.
I was SO disappointed when I was diagnosed with this thing and learned it had nothing to do with spiders.
Weird how my last two posts are both about how I function poorly under reduced pressures.
ADHD / executive dysfunction / “functional freeze”
Today I learned the hard way that my asymptomatic arachnoid cyst isn’t so asymptomatic at high altitudes. Back down at base camp and in bed now, and starting to feel much better.
Day 2 of winter break and I am realizing that I am some kind of deep-sea creature. Take me out of a high pressure environment, and I lose all form and function.
I hope respiratory therapy textbook publishers are ready to expand and modernize their chapters on negative pressure ventilation.

I’m pretty proud of this mug sublimation I designed. Gonna send it to a local small business to print up, and give it to my professors as a class Christmas gift. (The blurred part is the names of my classmates, and the expiration date is when we graduate.) #respiratorytherapy #duoneb
You know you’re in the mechanical ventilation / airway management semester of respiratory therapy school when you can’t stop assessing Mallampati classifications when you see someone yawn.
Ah, yes. Because who doesn't want a surgeon rushing through a surgery?
This would be the time where I’d again petition for #ncaafb to be more active on BlueSky, but my team is currently playing terrible football and maybe this app should be my place to seek refuge without constant reminders.
