like all the McBride shows, it doesn't really work for me when it tries to be 'serious' as the main characters are far too cartoonishly horrible for me to care, but some of the dialogue and performances are very good and I do like to laugh

I had to put on my TV's 'MOVIE' setting to see the night scenes in this, though all it seems to do is make everything yellower so is actually terrible for watching movies most of the time unless I want everything to look like a really poor Fincher or Jeunet
