That is the goal of our Ontario Health Teams and I am truly looking forward to how we as Paramedics can be a part of the shared EMRs.

Loving this, we are using a siloed EMS specific software to collect data for funding but... find it more responsible and client centered to use our local Ontario Health Teams shared EMR day to day.

Time to join the rest of health care and focus on the client journey instead of creating more silos?

A lot of us felt that we as Paramedics had been evolving/progressing and should be able to have a say in our future but a lot of us felt it was better for others to control our direction.

Will be interesting now to see what happens with HPRAC being dissolved... even less control of our future now?

Paramedic Self-Regulation The regulatory framework for all health professions has been evolving away from the regulation of people and towards the regulation of practice. According to the RHPA (Regulated Health Professions Ac...

About a dozen yrs ago, we had a lot of people (Paramedics included) who felt we should not self-regulated here in Ontario.

Kenora District Community Paramedics meet face to face monthly to do training and to see where we can fill gaps in care and services.

Last month we had a great refresher with our Augmented Reality glasses where we can take experts in wound care into homes with us.

Overcoming geography with tech.

New authority to regulate personal support workers launches in Ontario

With some paramedic groups and others not relevant to the profession choosing that we would not be self-regulated a few years ago... wonder we we fall in the government's plans with this as it "expands into other health care providers".

Almost gave up a couple of weeks ago on here as the search function for Paramedic, EMS, Ambulance, etc... comes up with next to nothing.

Tonight went old school Twitter and started browsing who people were following and bingo, lots on here already!

Looking forward to our services joining too...

New tires on the 4x, plow on the quad, sled fired up and... a measly 4" of snow here in the Northwestern part of Ontario.

So... quit bragging about all the wonderful snow you're getting, we are very envious here with the lake only freezing this past week.
