JOAN OF ARC / FAITH, by Annie Louisa Swynnerton. Images: Sotheby’s catalogue. Title(s): Joan of Arc (Sotheby’s, 2006 & 2007); Faith (Illustrated London News, 23 Apr 1904; Whitchapel Art Gallery, 1907). Both titles assumed to refer…

I recently used this painting of Joan of Arc annielouisaswynnerton.com/joan-of-arc-... to depict an NPC. If I used AI I might have asked for some similar features (her age, armour, etc.) but I wouldn't have thought to ask for that pose. It led my thoughts on that character in a different direction.

Great point here about how using gen AI to mimic existing stuff may limit what people imagine / explore.

If Moria is the prototypical dungeon then the Barrow Down Wights is the prototypical GM fudges an encounter they’ve completely misjudged to avoid a TPK.

An important decision when adding the chapters to this episode: "Does the discussion on talking to stones deserve its own chapter?"
Yes. Yes it does.

I like the sound of these changes! I've tinkered with one move Ironsworn, and there's a definite appeal, but the extra support/guidance of dashboards is inspired.

I think you are running games for different players much more than I am. I have my regular group and we have our rhythm. But I could see it being more of a challenge with an open table.
