Spark reminds me of the hunter mount -- probably more than you want to spend, but might help you push damage.
It might also fit in a minion light deck better than other non-minions at 4, (chronoclaws, grace of the great wolf, monkey business, and past silvermoon)
It's possible I got better deathrattles. I feel like it's worth a try at least.
I feel like it checks several boxes (including being odd attack), but maybe it's not good enough at any of them to shine.

Miniset thoughts on rotation (meta dependent)
I see potential for Triennium Rex if other themes are pushed (like deathrattle or recruit), or if untimely death is more popular.
And synchronized spark may see play in spell hunter style decks (ones that want to run few minions)
I think part of this is that aura paladin, cycle DH, dragon warrior, imbue rogue are new decks. Which is good for the game but not for a specific class.
The miniset didn't shake up hunter as much as other classes, so it's mostly the same thing.
It may not neatly fit into a category, but it looks like some good choices to put major effort into the quest.
