This a fun project I helped with, combining two things I love: food and ultraviolet light. The 17 recipes range from simple to complex, and include vegetarian items and a couple of vegan ones as well:

Have you taken action yet to #FundLibraries? We don't have much time left to gather signatures in the House of Reps. in support of federal library funding in FY 2027!
Take action and show up #ForOurLibraries by emailing your House Rep today: https://www.ala.org/advocacy/show-up-for-our-libraries
This is the art I need today. Thank you.

Don't buy from Uline.
For those who can, here are links to donate directly to local efforts on the ground resisting ICE's terrorizing of Minneapolis. Let me know what you donated to where, and I'll match it until I get a panicked call from my bank!

Not only has Minneapolis police not had to shoot anyone in a year. But there has been just ONE homicide in Minneapolis this year, but TWO unofficial DHS homicides: 67% of city homicides are DHS homicides! And 43% of all gunshot victims!
If you want to help out people in Minnesota, here's a list of aid organizations that could use donations:

A new one-on-one immersive show has opened in Brooklyn:

The creators put a lot of time and care into all the aspects of the show.
(disclaimer: I did some of the tech and know the folks who created it)
🍄The two best online puppet musical escape rooms around (The Keeper and the Fungus Among Us; Rise of the Fungi) are back for select Saturdays later this month. I highly recommend both of them!🍄

An excellent show, and the theme song (by Andy Partridge of XTC) is perfect for it.
Plus some early Lee Pace!
King of England on a checkerboard pattern tile floor
Y’all might not appreciate it, but it took him 87 moves and 14 hours to get here
I think it is just the reflections, but at first (and second and third) glance that looks like very chunky coffee.
Of course I'm restocking the Unfinished Projects Release Form (a permission slip and ritual for letting go of unfinished creative projects), but it's also part of the Project Impasse Toolkit, a limited edition set to help you figure out what to do next.

The inside of an "Accessibility Panel" from an escape room. Text on the panel door reads, "These options are not part of any puzzle or game. They allow you to adjust the lighting and sound settings of the experience. The default settings are Volume 1, Flashing Light Effects On." Inside the panel, a dial that allows the user to set the volume to 1, 2, or 3. A switch allows the user to turn flashing light effects on or off. Also inside the panel are two additional pieces of text: instructions on how to active the colorblind option on one puzzle; and an invitation to use a rolling chair that can be found in the room.
The accessibility panel shown in the previous illustration. It is now closed, and we can see what the door looks like from the outside. The words "Accessibility Options" are written in a slick, mid-century font.
I've played 133 escape rooms, and this may be my favorite thing out of any of them. It's an accessibility panel that gives players direct control over sound volume and flashing lights. (Plus it directs them to other accessibility options elsewhere in the room.)
Bravo to 60 Out Hollywood!
Check out the terrific work in this thread!
My favorite is to hold it between two people and ask them each to say what they see, and then watch as they look at each other like they are nuts.
Then flip it around and watch again :-)
That’s the second reported and sourced story on US soldiers not being fed today
If you can help Camilla with this, please do!
It is an excellent series! Flavia is a delight.
Elan Lee is totally correct- puzzles should be designed to make solvers feel smart, not dumb. Your job as a designer is to make puzzles that *can* be solved, and root for players to solve them. They should feel like they have overcome a challenge that is harder than it really is.
Game on.
Vaccination schedules on the CDC website have already started changing under RFK Jr. So we published a guide to the evidence-based vaccine recommendations in place *before* all 17 members of the advisory panel were abruptly dismissed by the new admin. www.scientificamerican.com/article/see-... 🧪
