A rare carnivorous caterpillar—previously unknown to biologists—stalks spiderwebs for food whilst dressed in the remains of its prey, a new Science study reports.

Abel Rodríguez, Amazon Basin Artist and Plant Expert, Has Died The Nonuya (Indigenous Colombian) painter was revered for his bright ink-on-paper renderings of the region’s lush flora and fauna and his wealth of inherited knowledge.

Nonuya and Muinane sage and ecological artist Abel Rodríguez is remembered for his drawings of flora and fauna in the Amazon basin, his knowledge of endemic plants and their medicinal properties, and for being one of the last speakers of the Nonuya language.
