The first one was the wrong on field decision for me. At those speeds I can’t see how you can be 100% certain that wasn’t going down leg side/hitting.

How do you give that OUT? The umpires need to calm down as well. The first one was so very close and the second one was so going down leg side.

It’s also inexcusable that an update went out on the Club website not mentioning this statement, there is complete silence on social media (I’ve not signed up to Discord tbf). All under the umbrella of the newly elected Chair promising transparency. It’s not a great start for this DTB.

DTB members are Directors of the Club. There are strict rules around being a Director. There is no point in avoiding the issue and potentially the same issue arising in the future. We seem to have a de facto position of not being transparent and open in comms and saying too little too late.

And the switching to Discord from ProBoards hasn’t been done in a manner of an organisation that wants to encourage engagement/discussion and membership participation.

It is a complete mess tbh. It isn’t actually a huge surprise, if you were aware of some of the previous fudges. Being transparent without being humiliating would have been possible. More questions arise from non disclosure, than there should be.

It’s another classic example of incredibly poor comms. Saying too little is as poor as saying too much. The membership deserved more here without saying too much.

We are really looking forward to it and celebrating with those closest to us, it’s certainly become real now that Stembo has asked if there will be real ale!
