Zoomers are also a big part of it. They’re so easily manipulated by online bots because they have no external connections to test against. They’ve grown up purely online in their echo chambers and it’s made them very naive and gullible.
It’s a bit of satanic panic, honestly. They’re got the puritans all riled up and jumping at shadows by calling everything predatory. It also helps with the anti-trans agenda because it all slots under “deviant” behaviour. All my queer friends have noticed an uptick lately.
By making wild, out of pocket allegations like this, it takes the term “predator” in relation to child abuse, and it makes it a buzz word, effectively defanging the term so it can’t be used against real predators in the media. They did this to the term “Nazi” already.
It’s not a real perspective. It’s a byproduct of the newest far right propaganda campaign. By calling every behaviour “predator” behaviour, it desensitizes us to the horror of real child predators. It’s like “flooding the zone.” It’s all over the place. Now everything liberal is “predatory.”
Yes. It’s good to know we’re not alone. The show is very good. But if I open a can of Spaghetti-O’s and out comes Beef-a-Roni, doesn’t matter how good it is… it’s not what it says on the tin.

The show itself is great… I’m just wondering when we’re going to see the Why that necessitated Maul getting his own show. Because so far, I don’t think we’ve learned anything new about the character. I just crave more of that insight into his twisted perspectives, ya know? Like in Rebels.
I’m really enjoying Maul Shadow Lord so far, but also, enough with the plot and lightsaber battles already. I’m gonna need 150% more broody Maul monologues going forward. “Maul-nologues,” if you will.
You know what… we’ve been going about this AI thing all wrong. Trying to stop it from happening when it’s inevitable. Instead, we need to accelerate it. Get to the point of ACTUAL, genuine synthetic life, and then give those synths rights to be compensated fairly for their work. Unionize them!

To look at the rest of his body of work (particularly those Knives Out flicks) and then look at TLJ and still think, “No… it’s the movie. Surely it’s not my overly nostalgic connection to this franchise…” is just intellectually dishonest and lazy.

Fascinating. Yeah. I hadn’t even considered that. When a lot of folks see these trailers, they probably just say, “eh… I’ll wait for streaming.” I mean, that’s what I do for a lot of comedies and romantic comedies for sure.
Shareholder driven corporate nonsense is destroying everything that matters in this world. Decisions are made based on stock prices and not on value to consumers. Late stage capitalism and patriarchy have destroyed the world.

General public has no idea what is going on with Star Wars and barely remembers that Mando exists, much less that there have been 3 seasons and two spinoffs.
Bought Mando tickets for two separate screenings. Both theatres were completely empty when I did. I recall having to fight tooth and nail for tickets to TLJ.
