I learned recently that it’s an insult in Germany to call someone “hobbyless” or to engage in “hobbyless behavior” and it’s become my favorite way to think of assholes who have nothing better to do than to make other people miserable. Get a hobby. Build a model train and calm down.

When my wife and I had just married, she crafted this Hoi plushie for me. 😊💚

As we married uhm… a 'few' years ago, the condition of the plushie has declined, but I thought it's fun to post here.

My wife wants me to emphasize that it was a quick prototype, not a finalized creation. 🙂

Every AI commercial is like "Hey AI, what goes good on a sandwich?" and then the AI is like "Have you considered... cheese?" And then the narrator is like: THE FUTURE IS HERE.

I think officially creating a divide between the limbed design and the ball design would really just cement the idea people have that Pac-Man isn't a "real" series with a cohesive world, even though it absolutely is.
Sorry this took so long I had a bit of trouble articulating my thoughts.

Another thing is that for a long time I've seen people view Pac-Man as not really being a proper series and that games like Pac-Man World are just reinterpretations of the original game.
But personally, I view Pac-Man World to be the logical extension of what was established about Pac early on.

It's like how Sonic Forces retconned Classic into being a separate universe. Does that mean the Genesis games just aren't canon to games like Adventure, despite our perception of the series up until now was that they are?
It's not exactly the same, Sonic is much more narrative-focused, but still.

And like I dunno, I like that they're both just Pac-Man! I like the idea that the Pac-Man moving through the maze in the original game would later go on to rescue fairies or fight a robot copy or take down an ancient evil ghost. It helps keeps the series feel cohesive.

The limbed design was always used for the games' official art, including the games with the simple ball design. I always took this to mean that the limbed design is Pac-Man's true look, while the in-game ball design is just a simplified representation of that design.
