I don't want her to be in pain. But I also don't want to let her go.

I worry I have completely lost the ability to be rational or objective about her medical care. I've worked so long to keep her alive, and she's been such an amazing fighter. I don't know if I'll recognize the point where it's better for her to let her go.

She has always been an increased risk for it because of her mobility issues. They're keeping her overnight to see if they can sort it out medically; there's a surgical intervention for it, but she's not a good candidate b/c of age and other chronic issues.

Think good thoughts for our girl Talia. I took her to the vet this morning for suspected gut stasis and an X-ray showed her gut is twisted (it either caused or was caused by gas buildup, it is rare but a known thing that happens with guinea pigs.)

This is a problem for ALMOST EVERYONE, which is why librarians are literally taught to do a reference interview with every single patron who comes to the desk.
