Also, if their attempts at convo seem to meander in a way that doesn't make sense (not in an ADHD way, but "what you're saying literally makes no sense now that I'm paying attention to your words")... that's because it actually doesn't, and their attempt at "conversation" is in bad faith.

I generally say kink isn't a single community but rather many disparate ones, often some level of microcosm of the region they're in, online communities also being quite separate with their own rules, often differing significantly from in-person ones. All sharing high-lvl problems all communities do
Personally, I find that the noise generally being very periodic as helpful to letting the scan time fly by, as long as they provide something to muffle the volume to some degree
What's been your experience with / have you tried "so intently focused on [task] that they might as well be mindless about anything else" and having them fixated on the job/task? Probably a lot of different colorful reinforcing suggestions that could go in different directions from there...
Not surprised about friends' & staff's responses & leaving it all to the hypnotist, it's common to assume "Something weird happens mentally when hypno involved? Hypnotist is responsible" regardless of anything else involved.
Also: Never underestimate a good hype group like the "semi-hecklers" here
The older the games, the more they were designed with the same concepts as arcades (ie kill player quickly to eat quarters) because designers didn't know anything else, some are drawn to that. I loved some games of that era, like the earlier TMNT games, and the older graphics don't bother me
Still a groomer and abuser!

Definitely, would love to show up for one of these
Hmmm, I like the aesthetic and the trope
It's not as much of a mashup of styles like Kaa eyes can be.
Like "blank & mindless" in a subject/expression, but not the eyes?
Not interested in addiction, obsession, or fear, which the others convey
May also be that spiral can go hypnotist or sub?
I like both spiral eyes and kaa eyes, personally. With your personal style comparing the two, I prefer spiral eyes a bit more
If a beginner finds familiarity and leaves "Ahh, new thing I can mess up," then they can potentially also play with how they'd adjust in ways congruent with what they're already familiar with, allowing for more avenues to go down, that's my thought
I generally trust that the brain of a person I want to play with is clever, & if my suggestions are congruent with how I've been interacting with them, they'll follow decently
Easier to give starting points & compare to things a beginner is familiar with already than to give a bunch of guidelines
YES THIS HAPPENED. Also in a general sense if ASL interpreters are working one of my events and there is time, I try to give them access to any prepared materials and generally go over things that I suspect will present an issue for them. The idea they're not needed or useful is shitty ableist BS.
Looking forward to it, woot!
~Things need to be present for those without options, & glad things exist for that, ie several decent servers. Almost feel I can never connect with any of them, so when I see awful habits or (generally unintentional) wrong info, I'm an outsider that would need to prove myself first: nah, I'm good.
Never been a fan of the online spaces for socializing & classes, all just too much, lost count of how many echo chambers I've walked into online that teach bad habits or downright wrong info, and I don't have the spoons even for good crowds, skimming through everything and barely reading anything.~
Slightly too short to pull from here, but experiments clearly need to be set up
Just how short are we talking? Buzz cut? Getting right in there at the scalp can get to some pretty short hair...
That was my travel back home from Christmas last year, totally feel ya. Hope ya feel better quickly!
