#Superman Day
Apparently I had the mother of all called-shots…
Marical is a fun set.
(The weapons are a Kotobukiya Add-on.)
Inside: Superman and Spider-man save the day, Lois Lane and Mary Jane bond over shared experiences, and Paul gets Power-cucked.
All in all, a thing of beauty.
Start areas are 1-high topped with Water, with the other two Sand 1s marking the other objectives.
Level 2 (bottom) and level 3 (top) of Central Formation. (Colors mixed up to be readable). Use as much rock as possible, but save a Rock 7. Objectives on Level 3 marked with Sand.
The cap is a Rock 7 on top of a Sand 7.
The smaller formations are just double-stacked 1s and 2s, except start areas.
Level 1 (colors mixed up for readability). Gaps are intentional. Use Sand 7 for the center and Rock 24s for the outside corners. (Top right bottom left here) everything else is Grass.
You can build the Gundam Assemble Starter Set terrain out of the contents of the Heroscape Master Set.
Unlike the example, my final result doubles the height of all terrain.
Please tell me I'm not the only person who despises the word "Kidult" with every fiber of their being.
You don't say?
Watching the videos about the so-called "Smart Brick" Lego sets and all the "voice lines" are just Star Fox babble and I just can't handle it.

Gold City? more like “Gold Shi-“ * Is Shot.*
The Hookers: Gloves and Trowel.
Imagine if, in Minecraft, if you mis-place a block, you can just pick it up and move it. Literal FIRST powerup
And the Trowel lets you place whole spreads of blocks at a time, even replacing blocks that are already there.
And you can build bridges walking forwards
The Blackjack: You have a friend. A friend with surprisingly good AI programming. And a literal Blackjack. Fights monsters for you, and will start harvesting the same materials you harvest.
Best part? It's not a sequel to the OK DQ Builders 1, it's a Sequel to the original Dragon Quest 2! And the mechanics change so much that you can fully skip DQ Builders 1!
Pokemon: Pokopia if it had Blackjack, Hookers, and could be played on anything.
Not even kidding. Unironically my 2nd favorite DQ game. Ever.
In trying to finally do what they should have done ages ago, Firelight Studios had made numerous mistakes, and their attempts at correction were too little, too late.
Basically, while their launch was a disaster, they tried to see if they could parley that into a sort of Open Beta where the game gets spruced up and made actually kinda fun. The 5v5 took mere DAYS to happen.
But then Tencent pulled ALL of their funding.
But recent developments actually have me feeling a little bad for it.
You see, they had been told that they still had a few months of funding left, and finally FINALLY started to budge in the important places, like adding a 5v5 which was universally praised as better.
And they way they went silent after the trailer bombed, since the trailer didn't paint the game in a flattering way, rather than releasing some sort of video explaining why the game is cool, actually, by detailing its engaging mechanics, they waited silently for everything to blow over.
Whoops.
A Shadow Drop would not have worked. It worked for Apex because it showed up on the front page of every user of EA Origins. If it had been shadow-dropped, nobody would have known what it was.
Nor would they have cared.
They would have at least needed to get some e-celebs playing it.
...But everybody believes the "total secrecy" claim, because if they had shown this to anybody outside of their sphere, then they probably would have gotten a lot of different feedback.
Such as the immediate and obvious problem with 3v3 and huge map sizes.
It has been labelled an "Industry Plant" with the revelation that their trailer slot was apparently pro-bono, and how the other game directors out there shilling it also have ties to Tencent, the most Corporate of Corporate backers. Nobody thinks of it as indie anymore...
Highguard, the bomb of The Game Awards, now revealed to have been funded by Tencent, which was apparently on a need-to-know basis.
Derided for being "Another one" alongside the likes of Concord, Marathon, Radical Heights, Splitgate, etc...
So this game appears to be quite the cautionary tale whose recent history has been the definition of "Too little, too late".
Highguard deserves the vitriol for its many poor choices, but recent events have caused me to feel a little pity. 🧵
6/10 Too Much Water.

Bumblebee, from Transformers One, comically comments about how his Stingers just dismembered and killed many of his fellow transformers. Optimus Prime jovially jokes "classic bumblebee!" like the murder spree was silly antics.
Megatron boldly takes credit for killing Sentinel Prime, A transformer who betrayed and killed all of the other primes, stripped the other transformers of their Cogs and sold them out to the Quintessons. In stark contrast to before, Optimus Prime tells Megatron that Killing is Wrong, despite the target being a complete tyrant.
I still can't stand Transformers One.
