*Second* greatest scream in rock and roll: Melissa Etheridge at the end of “Your Little Secret.”
You probably don’t know it. You should. And it’s not just a vocal flex: It’s the culmination of the song’s narrative. Stands my hair on end every time.

I heard “Won’t Get Fooled Again” once at the grocery store. Daltrey’s scream pulled my soul straight up out of my body.

Looks comfy, honestly.
I meant that they’d get a lot of compliments, but you are the efficiency expert.
I worked for a company with a corporate partner (a major bank) that had a box at Trenton Thunder Ballpark, almost straight over home plate, with private mezzanine seats. Snacks? Name ’em, they were there, bottomless.
But nah, the best was probably just a good old hot dog at the Lakewood BlueClaws.
A grey Adidas sneaker with a white sole, stripes, and laces, but the heel is a wavy chaos of colored ink-splash shapes: purple collar, black heel counter, and accents of yellow, red, and blue. Conservative in the front, cartoon in the back.

Shout-out to the Adidas Crazychaos Legend Ink Shock Red shoes that I nearly bought in 2019. I still daydream about these.
@lentesta.bsky.social, these are still the most Disney Vacation shoes I’ve ever seen.

My initial and immediate response would be the emotion that accompanies discovering a hidden door, and the amused and impressed thought: “Reverb?”

@atp.fm Finally, someone engineered an iPhone cooling system that works.
And it’s a 12 mini, bless its perfect-sized little heart.
@joshgondelman.bsky.social New Balance alert! Nowhere near the art-life statement of your footwear regimen, but they were love at first sight and they are deeply, perfectly me. Also super comfortable.
The underside of a grey New Balance 9060 running shoe. The sole has six separate black pads that flare out past the edge of the shoe, with a red diamond shape in the middle of each pad. The rearmost two pads are elongated and seem to protrude quite a bit behind the wearer’s heel. The overall appearance is of an otherworldly cloven hoof.
Running-shoe soles apparently look like hooves now.

Just got these alien things to replace my six-year-old 1267’s. They are the most dad-coded shoes I’ve ever owned. And I totally own them.
A small brown bird perched on an old wooden fence post. It looks poised to take on an adventure or possibly just grab a meal.
Always wonderful to see a good #FencePost complete some lichen and topped off with an excellent bird

And so the Midianites went forth to Ram Gilead in Kadesh Bilgemath by Shor Ethra Regalion, to the house of Gash-Bil-Bethuel-Bazda, he who brought the butter dish to Balshazar and the tent peg to the house of Rashomon, and there slew they the goats, yea, and placed they the bits in little pots.

The ChatGPT logo, which is almost two interlocking rounded triangles — sort of a cross between a Celtic knot and a Star of David — but the segments of the triangles don’t actually line up with each other.
Today I noticed that the segments in the knot-like ChatGPT logo don’t exactly line up with each other. It’s so perfectly…AI.
I’d have left out the comma. I thought this was going to be a medical ad.
