I thought this was a new Tim Robinson character.

I don’t say this lightly, but yowza.
It was a real highlight of that series!
Agreed! I think that will be a big part of the audience for the new one.
And yeah, it does feel like they missed out on the big Michael Bay reboot era. There’s been a version of this movie in the works since 2005 at least. Development Hell sucks.
Those look great! I love the red on Shadow Weaver.
Sorta. Haha.
It was much more in the public consciousness but most people were over it. The former audience had grown out of it and the current audience was more into Transformers and other stuff. (Maybe TMNT? I forget when they blew up.)
In 2026, it’s a more kitschy 80s nostalgia thing.
Yes and no. The cartoon was finished by then and the toy sales were slumping hard by ‘87. Mattel thought the movie would be the only way to make He-Man popular again.
(I don’t want to be *that guy* but I wrote a book about this topic. And I’m high.)
Are we not men?!
Fuck it. I'm going to start wearing a dumb sci-fi jumpsuit right now. Somebody's got to be the trendsetter.
Hell yeah!
(Of course, I’m a little biased…)
I’m glad it got there in one piece! ⚔️

Another reason to love Hari Nef.
Post a song that shoulda been 10 minutes long but is instead, criminally short.
This sounds like a lot of fun! Still have a slot open?
when we let them be, humans are so good
it's so frustrating people everywhere don't all want to work together to just let humans be good because they can be so good
I love Conquest more and more. It’s become comfort viewing for me.
I hadn’t heard that! Very good news.
Just recorded my first podcast interview in ages.
I'm so rusty at pretty much any type of human interaction...
Ha. We named our dog after this show.
Harvey Birdman Attorney-At-Law Baer.
I've been trying to figure out if I missed something. Haha.
That Tubi commercial thing bugs the hell out of me! Just all of the sudden, "0 seconds before commercial".
I get heavy in this.
I’ve always loved the opening to Purple Rain, too.
Josie and the Pussycats was released on this day 25 years ago 🥁
Depluralize a movie:
Step Up 1: The Streets
K'Ehleyr is in a simulated battle on the holodeck. An alien with a head that looks like a fanged skull is approaching her from behind.
The new Masters of the Universe movie looks wild
Today is Easter, but it is also Roger Corman's 100th birthday! To mark the occasion, I tracked down where you can stream all of the films that Roger directed for free. So, if you're looking to celebrate Roger today, I've got you covered! from-the-desk-of-the-horror-chick.ghost.io/happy-100th-...
It’s a bummer they‘re probably so protective of the IP. You can’t tell me a View-Master horror movie wouldn’t fucking rock.
