One has potential to cure pancreatic cancer with six years of data behind it. One will make a handful of rich people richer and all the rest of us poorer.
Humans are amazing and I deeply wonder what we could do and make if we were not held back by "what the market will bear".

All four of these images are photos of my tuxedo cat Constable sitting in the bowl of our bathroom sink getting absolutely drenched as he drinks from the faucet. It is not dissuading him. He could absolutely drink from any other angle than directly in the sink where he will get soaking wet. He could leave the sink at any time. The real loser is us when a soaking wet cat immediately after wants to cuddle in bed. We hope he will learn one day, but it is not today or probably tomorrow.

My personal take on what the Owlks from Outer Wilds DLC: Echoes of the Eye would look like as chicks. A fluffy lump of brown downy fur with pale green raptor like arms and stubby fingers seated back with digitigrade hooved haunches sticking awkwardly to either side. Its eyes are shut and slightly bulging like that of a newborn bird and their antlers are small and slightly ceooked. Behind them a blurry background of green nebula and stars and among them the traces of a hazy green ringed planet that they will never truly remember.

And another small little fanart for my #OuterWilds fans out there, this one for the dlc so heres a quick #EchoesoftheEyeSpoilers tag too just incase!

But... what would the #Owlks look like as babies. Little gremlin of fluff. Not pictured, the enormous potoo neck mouth. (Listen, I love them ok.)

Haha, I'm always advocating for the little local spots! You know my favorite already lol, but I like to shout out Lotus Brew too! I love them and their banned book library!

Haha. I began boycotting Starbucks half a decade ago and man let me tell you- there is SUCH better local coffee and atmospheres to be found everywhere. This is just one more reason I'm happy to have left them behind!

"How comfortable are you with the current number of dragons you are fighting?" Has been a calling card we have quoted at each other for years ever since that day when we watched the pink paintballed dot of an angry rathalos go streaking across the map to intercept my brother as we chased after it.

Some fun fan art for a favorite of mine: #MonsterHunter !
This series has been the start of so many stories between myself, my brother, and my partner- all starting back when MH3 came out on the Nintendo DS and we shared a single charger to play it together for eight actual hours.

Seriously regarding my last reskeet: please call. Please.
The man is threatening genocide. He must be removed and we must stand against this and any disgusting tyranny like it.

YOU: Hi my name is [name]. I’m calling from [ZIP CODE].

YOU: Today, President Trump said that “a whole civilization will die tonight” if Iran does not meet his deadline to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. That rhetoric is extreme, dangerous, and disqualifying.

FOR THOSE W/ DEM ELECTEDS: I’m asking [ELECTED OFFICIAL] to publicly condemn this rhetoric and use every available procedural tool to stop further escalation, including support for impeachment and urgent public pressure on congressional leadership.

FOR THOSE W/ GOP ELECTEDS: I’m asking [ELECTED OFFICIAL] to publicly condemn this rhetoric, press the administration and cabinet to treat this as disqualifying conduct.

YOU: Calling this what it is matters. Even if removal is difficult, elected officials should treat rhetoric like this as unfit and dangerous.

YOU: [OPTIONAL COMMENTS]

Not Raoul checking his watch, so casual with it #phantomoftheopera #meggiry #musicaltheatre #ballet #fyp TikTok video by Claire Lander 🧚‍♀️🩰🤸🏻‍♀️

The pose in question, and shoutout to these fabulous actors because I'd be hard pressed to find a better Raoul and Christine!

A long haired gentleman in a tailcoat and ruffled evening wear leans one hand on the wall and one playfully on his hip, looking out of the corner of his eye to where a ballerina clings, lifting herself up by his bicep. The ballerina smiles open mouthed at him, kicking her feet out from the stiff tule of her skirt. This pose was referenced from the Tiktok account for a production of Phantom of the Opera, originally being Rauol and Christine.

A delightful pose I had to steal for my two most romantic and zooted characters- Paladin Knox and Princess Helena are every fairy tale trope you've ever heard and then some.

Hi! I might fit the bill for this! I'm an avid Michigan explorer and a big fan of our spooky cryptids and legends!

Will I ever stop drawing 9000 portraits of this man and get actual things done? Only the ancients know...

A portrait of a white dragon with a large cobra hood snarling as he glares at the viewer with his nose pointed in the air at an extreme angle. His jawline is very prominent from below and a few fanged teeth poke out of his muzzle. The background is a smoky purple, glowing around the edges of his hood.

Don Vallus remains as snooty as ever. (He is judging me because he wants his book illustrations 😞) (I want them too buddy. Theae things take time.)

I was very annoyed, but I guess it just means its time to shop for other places to give my money to. I'm not about to argue with a chatbot that I drew something it has hallucinated that I might not have.

I'd say make it make sense but the sense is that billionaires and wannabe billionaires do not care about humanity and creativity and like-- a planet we can live on.
But I can still call it out when I see it and I can still draw while they can't be bothered to try.

This very week art I drew with my own hands was flagged as copyrighted materials and I was prohibited from printing it through my preferred service. (probably by an LLM)
The fact that LLMs regurgitating our work are given space to sell stolen work while artists are given less by these same machines-

And brother, if you think search engines that already exist would not LEAP at the open door to make you need to pay monthly for stuff humans wrote to share online for free?
All they need is a model to base around for legal purposes. If one does it succeasfully it will be an avalanche.

Reminder here also that Sam Altman actually spent time in actual prison for fraud.
This is the same playbook, by the same person. Going the same direction.
Reject them and their stupid product for the laughingstock they should be.

The grift was always to replace search engines with slop engines and then force subscription for a thing we built together. The internet is already a massive library of human knowledge. Putting it in a blender, making it faulty, and then saying it should cost money to use is -only a bad thing-
