Kira gives Walter a pat on the shoulder as a final gesture at the end of their game.

With red eyes, a shinigami looks down upon the alley as Kira leaves and picks the Death Note off the ground, tucking it away as a resounding BANG from the alleyway signals his triumph.

"You let your guard down the second I dropped the notebook. If you had any brains at all,you'd know that I'd be ready for that!"

Kira stops to smile. Gently, he guides Walter's hand, bringing the gun to his head. "I guess you won't in a second anyway. It's been fun, Heisenberg."

Walter stands still, his expression dismal and unfocused.

Kira raises a hand, a cheshire grin overtaking his face as he shows off his watch. A secret compartment is open to reveal a torn piece of paper. On it are the words "Walter White, suicide," written in his own blood.

Kira allows a cackle to escape him at last. He draws breath once more, having so much to say to the doomed man before him.

"You really thought you could outsmart god?! You're just a failed meth cook. You should have been kneeling instead of trying to stop me, Hei-sen-burg!"

Heisnberg freezes, the light leaving his eyes as he lowers his gun.

Kira's world moves again, the deafening clatter of raindrops returning to the air. The victor rises to his feet as his shoulders slack, unburdened by the potential of loss.

Both men could finally be free.

In the face of it all, the only thing the Kira could do was smile.

With a damnable grin across his face, the God of the New World declares his answer, his voice cutting through the rain as if the world was silently waiting for his very breath.

"Walter White."

The pounding in his lightened head. The painful pulsing of the gun wounds littering his mortal flesh. The cold embrace of the rain from above and concrete below. The thumping of his pulse colliding out of tune with the ticking of his watch.

Kira takes a moment to breathe, every exhale bringing him closer to his last. Time passes slowly to him, his senses heightened by his proximity to death, the inevitable end of this game.

Heisenberg holds the fallen detective at gunpoint, breath heavy as the click of the revolver's rotating chamber snaps through the rainy air of the alley.

With blood on his breath and venom in his voice, Heisenberg makes his final demand. "Say my name."
