I've been looking to drop evil owned Audible, and I just signed up to Libro.fm! They support local bookstores across the world. When you purchase an audiobook a portion goes to your local independent bookshop of choice. No surprise, in signing up I chose my favourite one, @thebooklounge.bsky.social!

We saw it at Ster Kinekor at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. Not sure how long it will run there seeing as it sadly wasn’t a box office hit. But Maggie Gyllenhaal gives it a big feminist swing and I think it lands hard. So sad it didn’t do better.

Absolutely loved THE BRIDE!.

I much prefer Jessie Buckley’s more nuanced performance in THE BRIDE! than in HAMNET where I found her delivery mostly one dimensional.(Yes, I know not loving her in HAMNET is a very unpopular opinion to share today… 🫠)

She does have the acting chops though.
