Taking the dog out around 8:30pm, he ran out to do his normal potty break. All went well until he spied something out of the corner of his eye, and bumrushed over. I couldn't see what it was until I got a flashlight.

It was a 'possum, 'playing' possum while also obviously mortally wounded somehow.

So day 2 of severe weather here.. Did see some trees down from earlier while out there, but with the tornado touchdown near KMSN, everyone in town was out taking photos. (Pointing North on 73/12&18).

I wish the camera in the phone could capture the different colours and textures of the clouds.

With how crazy the weather has started being, I'm starting to seriously consider a home back-up power generator of some type.

Especially with the new rack setup I have, really like to keep things running especially HVAC during hot, crazy rainy humid weather as it gets warm quick in this house.

I have never heard wind like that before. It was like a hurricane outside. Saw the warning on weather sites, and promptly woke Coco and Korb and rushed to the basement. THEN sirens finally went off.

Power outage 2 hours (extremely rare here), 3 hours more of storms. I'm tired..

Around 12:30am, a tornado warning was issued for this area, but no sirens or announcements went off. It was DEAD calm outside other than a large lightning show to the NW.

10 mins later, all hell erupted outside.

It literally just *poofed* off the wildcard and now they want to re-validate the domain, that's somehow already valid.

OH GOD it gets better..

They randomly decided to invalidate our 3rd most important wildcard OUT OF THE FUGGIN BLUE.

So now can't reissue or duplicate the wildcard until the domain is valid? But the domain *IS* valid and has until Aug to renew, even under vendor-specific push to SC-081 rules.

Not just that, but I also had to re-validate our Org.. AGAIN, FOR THE THIRD TIME in 2 weeks after being told all services would get updated (and did on my portal).

Fucking hell. I, and upper management are NOT happy with them right now.

WTF is going on with them.

Oh, have a problem with a division not able to order SMIME certs under our org.. No problem, will call vendor support.

They proceed to invalidate *ALL* SMIME certs under the org to try and 'fix'. Every department and Enterprise was unable to email for 2+ hours.

Yep, there were 3 like that for me.. I had to look like a weirdo tilting my head, scanning up and down, shaking, blinking rapidly... I swear there was no line there!

At least I know my hearing is still just as sharp as it was, and that everything is just fine or better..

But damn I wish I could get the tinnitus to shut up for just once and experience true silence one time.

Pressure changes, stress, anything to cause muscle tension in the ear canal which causes the brain to go into 'protect' mode to stop signals temporarily. Kinda interesting and used to it now.

She was like, you're that 1% where we just don't understand this part of the brain/ear workings.

I've also had tinnitus since I was born, as well as hyperacusis (Mom did too). Great for Sonar, bad for loud noises in life. -.-

Had an audio test done, and surprised the doc apparently. Still have similar results since I was young.

She thinks my inner ear is just super sensitive...

Had an audiologist appointment today to inquire about a weird effect I have happen a couple times a week.

My hearing in one of my ears will just 'reboot'. All signals stop, then over 60 seconds it's like the flashbang effect you see in movies til normal again.

One thing learned in the meeting..

Even being a State Government, we're still considered 'small fish' the the IT game.

Am very curious to see how the next few years play out with some of these contracts. We do everything still on-prem, and AI is a hard no.

So many places want us in their cloud.
