Hope our work can expand the understandings of SIRT2‘s diverse functionalities. A perfect ending for 2025 and congratulations to all the authors!

Late update: We are glad to see our new paper in terms of SIRT2's new enzymatic function as a "semi-deglycase" was published on Biochemistry, one of my favorite journals. pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10....
Biocompatible chemistry is wildly applied in the current chemical biology research. The MCMP student, Adam Lovato, did a topic introduction in our group meeting, and now we made it published on ChemBioChem as a review paper! So proud~ 🍾🎉🥳 chemistry-europe.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/...
I am happy to share that we recently developed and named a pH-controlled regioselective rapid ene-type reaction as "RRER" for the specific bioconjugation of a novel epigenetic mark, histone serotonylation. It is now online @rscchembio.rsc.org pubs.rsc.org/en/content/a...
Excited to see our paper out @nature.com In this work, we discovered that histone monoaminylation dynamics are regulated by a single enzyme (TGM2) and can promote neural rhythmicity by inhibiting the binding of WDR5 to H3 N-terminus.

Although serotonylation was discovered in the 1950s, a full picture of serotonylated proteins in cells is poorly understood. In this work, we applied pH-controlled CRACR (originally developed by @achemsynbio.bsky.social lab) for profiling serotonylation proteome. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
