Islamabad and America’s Suez Moment
21 hours of talks. No deal. You don’t send political figures to negotiate uranium, missiles, and the Strait. A serious negotiation handled by unserious negotiators. Why this may be our Suez moment:

The Deal We Lost: For decades, work meant stability. That didn’t just fade away, it was dismantled. In my new Substack, I explain how power shifted, why workers were left behind, and what it will take to rebuild. Read here:

I have dyslexia. It didn’t stop me from becoming a lawyer. Support made the difference.
That’s why it’s shameful to mock people with learning disabilities.
This is about more than me. It’s about opportunity.

This war is illegal. Trump has ordered regime change in Iran without a formal declaration of war. I blame all the people that voted for Donald Trump. History will not be kind to this warmonger and his Sycophants.
Iran has never attacked the United States.
The NLRB dismissed a discharge case I’m handling for “lack of cooperation.” We never received the alleged deadline notice. I appealed and it was reinstated — but most workers don’t have counsel. This is how rights quietly disappear.

Secrecy didn’t just protect Epstein. It’s fueling the worst kind of conspiracy and the oldest kind of antisemitism. My new Substack argues the missing lens is class: who gets protected, who gets punished, who gets scapegoated. Read:

If you’re a lawyer, don’t get involved with President Trump. He’s a threat to constitutional rights, and if you cross legal lines for him, you could end up disbarred.
Meanwhile, the agents who shot Alex Pretti and Renée Good haven’t been arrested or charged and, per reporting, were placed on paid administrative leave. If watching is punished but shooting is paid, the system isn’t broken, it’s doing its job.
The DOJ arrested Don Lemon and charged him for observing and livestreaming a protest inside a Minneapolis-area church.
4/4 They even tossed in a baseless, unproven swipe at me. The Board shut it down: not a threat, at worst a rude isolated remark, nowhere near enough to set aside an election. Credit to Stores 625 & 628. Goldstein & Singla + TJU keep fighting. Solidarity.
3/4 The (yes, Trump) Board unanimously upheld the results by denying the Employer’s Request for Review. TJ’s objections: denied. Certification: intact.

2/4 We won the January 2023 election by ~10%. Trader Joe’s spent the last 3 years trying to overturn it with meritless litigation. That era is over.
1/4 Good news out of NLRB Region 9: the Board just unanimously rejected Trader Joe’s objections and let the Louisville, KY election results stand.
18/ Helping your neighbor is not unlawful. Solidarity is not a crime. Supporting workers who strike is not “extremism.” It’s democracy in action.
Fight fascism together. Long live diversity. ✊🏽🏳️🌈🕊️
17/ AFL-CIO: convene an emergency meeting immediately.
To employers: if you can close for weather, you can close for democracy. Shut down voluntarily. Let workers participate. Commit to non-retaliation. ❄️➡️🗳️
16/ Pick a date. Pick demands. Build mutual aid. Build legal support. Move together. 🗓️✅⚖️🤝
15/ And I’m calling on all Americans who care about preserving democracy and fighting for a better world: this is your moment too. Stop applauding from the sidelines. Coordinate. 📣🤜🤛
14/ So here’s my call: I’m calling on OPEIU, my union, and every union in this country. I’m calling on progressives, environmental orgs, civil rights orgs, faith leaders, students, and community groups. 🌎✝️🕌🏳️🌈
15/ And I’m
13/ This isn’t just politics. ICE showing up at workplaces is a terms-and-conditions-of-employment issue. Workers are right to be afraid. That’s safety. That’s working conditions. That’s intimidation on the job. 🧰⚠️
12/ Rights don’t vanish overnight. They get narrowed, “reinterpreted,” and chilled until they only exist on paper. 📜❄️
Good point
11/ Striking is a human right. Withholding your labor is not illegal. It’s not “un-American.” It’s one of the last peaceful tools working people have when power stops responding to elections, laws, or basic decency. ✊🗳️
10/ And now Trump is reportedly considering invoking the Insurrection Act and sending troops. If any of this sounds like “can’t happen here,” stop. It’s already happening here. 🚨
9/ There are reports of a five-year-old being taken into custody. There are reports of a leaked memo claiming ICE can enter homes without a judge’s warrant using administrative paperwork. 🧒🚪
8/ Minneapolis matters because the repression isn’t theoretical anymore. There are reports of federal officials threatening peaceful protesters with gas devices and throwing them into crowds. 😷💥
7/ When the gatekeepers start acting like their job is to protect themselves, it tells you everything: we only have ourselves. That’s not a tragedy. That’s the strategy. 🤝
6/ And the institutions that are supposed to protect democracy keep folding when pressure shows up: Big Law. Universities. Major newsrooms. 📉
5/ Here’s the truth: we can’t wait for a knight to rescue us.
Congress isn’t coming.
The courts move too slowly. 🏛️🐢
