Why did I think @bradfrost.com would speak about design or development or so?
Anyway, I guess I was wrong.
I stumbled upon this very elegant way of gender-neutralizing words in German using a version of an asterisk which fills the whole x-height. It would be fantastic if type designers would begin incorporating such a glyph into their fonts.

If you’re up for the challenge: I converted an old 5K iMac to a monitor—that worked well and is a nice way to save an old device from the scrapyard. Also nice to save some money—you can find a 5K iMac for 300€ and could even sell the internals afterwards, cause you’ll only need display and housing.
Did they wrote by mistake “Version 16.0” in the first beta? :D
Always nice to read.
I was wondering when this post would come.
Ouuh, that’s very nice! I guess we have to celebrate the little things.
I kind of like the new cursor.
That is so sad!
It made me really happy to see well crafted Mac icons with clever ways to keep the squircle while having some elements overlap the edge.
a few well-chosen typos relaly make your prose seem like it wasn't written by AI
Some of the glassy, floating elements look really beautiful (e.g. in Maps), but for example the floating toolbar seems so out of place in most Mac apps.

The @letterformarchive.org is always a nice place to browse. :)
This is a stunning collection of ephemeral print for every day stuff. Y’know, tickets, flyers and labels. The typography, the creative and the history is fascinating.

I’m all for it!
ouuuh, that would be great!
an image that says "Apple Design Awards 2025 Finalist: Delight and Fun" with the Thank Goodness You're Here icon.
We’d like to thank our good friends at Apple for nominating our Panic-published game, Thank Goodness You’re Here!, for a “Delight and Fun” 2025 Apple Design Award!!
Amazing. Many thanks to everyone who played it, and to Coal Supper for making it. thankgoodness.game
“An Apple VP told me: The most popular text box on all of macOS is Chrome’s URL bar.”
Haha, I can’t!
A wonderful read from @lmnt.me that shows the world a little differently than most.

📣 The rush to add AI into everything is a big threat to privacy, as we've been saying.
MS Recall's screenshotting everything is a (not) great example of exactly why.
So, Signal took steps to protect everyone using Signal on Windows 11 from Recall's privacy invasion.👇

I really enjoyed watching this video! Stylistically, I’ve always been a fan of Source Sans and have used it in a number of projects, but now that I know a little more about the person behind the typeface, Paul Hunt, I’m even more motivated to continue using it.

Good book in the background there!
