There is a very common, if false belief that pretty much anyone can get citizenship if they're in the country for long enough. Unfortunately, most people who are undocumented have NO path to permanent legal status.

I’m a UMASS alum but have many friends who went to Hampshire. The Hampshire campus and connections were an important part of my college experience. This is very sad. Hard to imagine the Pioneer Valley university consortium as the Four Colleges instead of Five.

Devastating: Hampshire College is permanently closing following the Fall 2026 Semester. A beautiful institution & community that has done so much for so many. My child is a current Hampshire senior. Hampshire's approach to education is so unique, humane, & exciting—I've seen it first hand. Tragic
