And Tiny Sim, who DID die

Sims 2 screenshot of a lot filled with trees and shrubs like a nature reserve. The way the terrain has been shaped and painted makes it look like a waterfall/creek travels between the plants. The lot is built into a hill, and wooden stairs allow Sims to hike up to the top. There is a log cabin on stilts and a wooden platform overlooking the park area, with benches and an observation telescope on the deck outside, and a chimney and solar panels on the tin roof.
The same cabin and lot from a different angle, framed by trees.
Sorry if you donated to the stream to try and manifest triplets for her founder. The energy seems to have deposited directly into my subconscious instead
Had a weeeiiirrdd dream the other night about having triplets (they were teeny tiny like dolls) and I was trying to figure out wtf could have possibly caused that because I don't want kids-
Then I remembered I watched @lilsimsie.bsky.social's Very Veggie stream ๐ญ
I'm glad you could figure it out! CC conflicts are the worst ๐ญ Like okay maybe I didn't really want to play anyway.
Try the 50/50 method if you haven't already before you start over!!
This was so lovely! You have incredible taste. It took me a second to realise that your builds were entirely (or almost entirely?) CC-free, I love how you styled them. And the day-in-the-life gameplay was charming too. Happy to have found your channel!
Body Shop screenshot of a Sims 2 Sim wearing a custom recolour of a ballet dress to make it look like a puffy shiny 80s ruched prom dress in blue satin with long matching gloves
(distant sounds of citypop)
This feels like the perfect place to post custom content WIPs so that I don't spam Tumblr. Unfortunately, I feel like it's also the place where nobody on earth will see them lmao
Ah I'm so jealous! This is a holy grail for me! Congrats!
Will I ever actually make these Sims? Doubtful. Will I ever play them? Absolutely no chance. But they live in the My Documents folder of my mind
The artist woman gets along with pretty much everyone. The musician (and nextdoor stoner) look out for the tween but tease her a bit too. The writer downstairs clicks with the yuppie couple so hard that if he weren't such a family man he'd be in danger of getting involved in a horrendous polycule
Sims 2 screenshot of a small apartment with exposed brick and wooden floors. The common area is incredibly small with a tiny kitchenette, lip-shaped sofa and a little breakfast nook, but this saves space for two separate bedrooms. One has a canopy double bed with floral bedding surrounded by fairy lights and art supplies. The other has moody reds, purples, and olive tones with a desk, clothes rack, and computer setup. A small balcony has an outdoor table and chairs, an exercise bike, and an easel at the far end.
Last apartment: Older artist woman who owns her flat and just rents out a room for fun and company. Currently renting to a "the power of Manifestation will make you a Queen"-type young woman intern who's not quite as insufferable as she acts & is loath to have chemistry w/ the enby downstairs
Aerial screenshot of a Sims 2 apartment. This one is slightly larger by way of having a separate bedroom but is still best suited for a single Sim. The furniture is mostly shades of red, white, and black, with angsty band posters on the walls. There's a small collection of pots and pans in the kitchenette and a stovepipe fireplace above where the apartment below would have their fireplace, connecting the chimneys. In the small bedroom is a bass guitar with soundproofing against one of the walls and the floor. This apartment has access to a narrow balcony which houses a cheap BBQ, two folding chairs, and a pet food bowl.
Apartment 3: Single nonbinary musician. Probably has a day job but they don't care about it so neither do I. Enjoys cooking as a hobby. Complains about the city constantly but couldn't imagine living anywhere else. Friends with the stoner who lives above the next store over & feeds "his" stray cat.
Sims 2 aerial screenshot of a tiny studio apartment with the same exposed brick and warm wood floors. A small bathroom is off to the side. There is a fun but not too extreme mix of colours going on with the furnishings including a yellow sofa, an abstract purple painting and red silk sheets. There's an espresso machine and a wine rack in the kitchenette, and expansive clothes racks by the bathroom door take up not-insignificant real estate.
Apartment 2: Early-30s DINK working couple, constantly inviting friends over for wine/coffee/gossip. Man works at a PR company for a few brands, woman is a fashion and lifestyle writer at a magazine. Artsy yuppies. Not malicious but a bit superficial. At least they're not stingy. 90% takeout diet.
Aerial Sims 2 screencap of a tiny apartment built behind and alongside a small convenience store/bodega storefront that faces the street. The apartment is accessed via the alley. It's very compact but homey with exposed brown brick and wooden floors. A small stovepipe fireplace is in the main area. The larger bedroom has a double bed, modern furniture, and a desk set up to utilise space at the foot of the bed. The much smaller bedroom, mostly purple, barely fits a desk for homework and a single bed. In a different corner of the building is a spiral staircase leading up to more apartments.
Case in point: This teeny tiny place behind/attached to a bodega. Ground floor apartment: Married couple, tween kid, Great Dane guard dog. Wife, strict but fair, a district superintendent. Husband, goofy and a bit pretentious, WFH author. Kid's chores are to walk & wash the dog. Dog likes her best.
I love building apartments. I can't help but come up with little ideas and backstories for the Sims who might live in them via environmental storytelling. I feel like I end up building the same exposed brick NYC shoeboxes over and over but maybe that's my happy place
It reminds me of all the hype around Black Desert Online and how people were clamouring to download the demo, and then all the buzz died down overnight... (Also not intended as shade)
Feel free to plug your favourite Simmers on bluesky here (including yourself!) so I can find more people to follow! Obviously I favour Maxis Match and I TS2, but I love seeing posts from any Sims game and in any aesthetic.
Sims 2 screenshot of a kitchen & dining room in a large family home with a modern cottage feel. Lots of light wood and light blue walls.
Sims 2 screenshot of an eclectic, boho surfer living room with red & white checkered flooring contrasted against blue plaster walls. The wall is filled with shelves of souvenirs and keepsakes. The vibe is lived-in and fun but affordable.
Sims 2 screenshot of a communal area in a university dormitory with vaguely 70s design and architecture. A raised platform leads to a cafeteria while the majority of the focus is on a group study area full of desks, beanbag chairs, and a little student kitchenette that leads to a quiet study room.
Sims 2 screenshot of a richly toned wooden cabin. The furniture is rustic and quaint with many plants inside and a pseudo bench seat in front of a large frosted window. The vibe is warm and cozy but also isolated.
Hi, I'm Rocket Horse! I build a lot of Maxis Match builds and gameplay. I'm currently working on a TS2 CC-free custom neighbourhood full of shell challenges, as well as my first ever legacy challenge! Hoping to meet more Simmers of any game and any style ๐
