How can anyone have any hope of Trumps imminent demise when his sequel is right here

A new press regulator with actual teeth should have been a day one act.
Not in their back yard
It’s the one policy they have gone as fast as they should on.
She can ask what she likes but the question loses much of their weight on the second go around.
Likely an act to correct a fundamental failing of our Parliamentary system.
A fundamental lack of understanding of the countries finances. Proper amateur behaviour.
Yes i'm sure it's just in their heads...
I guess he thinks the fear they are feeling isn't real.
And what is your Union doing about it? As a Unite member I have seen countless full-time reps push for inflationary pay rises, not wishing to rock the boat with employers and getting members to lower their expectations for increases in pay, even when inflation was running rampant.
🙄🇬🇧🙄🇬🇧🙄🇬🇧🙄🇬🇧🙄
We now have an entire media who would rather see a Farage govt, leading to the demise of the NHS and an alliance with the far right US Christian Nationalist fuckers than support the govt we elected And its drift towards EU alignment
Putin must be laughing his head off.
"first time for everything"
That's the moronic response I got in a response to a similar statement
I haven't seen any reference to this in the UK 'let's-not-give Labour-any credit-for-anything' media.
Did he ask Robbins to grant Mandelson clearance before the UKSV delivered its recommendation?
No.
Reasons that recent PMs resigned:
Cameron - Lost the Brexit referendum
May - Lost support of her MPs and unable to pass legislation
Johnson - Broke the law and lied to parliament, and tried to abolish the standards committee
Truss - Crashed the economy causing a run on the pound and bond markets
He's literally just said it wouldn't be right to say he was put under undue pressure!
It'll be the most mountain-out-of-a-mole hill reason any PM has resigned if he does.
I think he could claim that to be technically true as the UKSV doesn't make the decision, the FCDO does. UKSV gives a recommendation but it seems Robbins didn't know what that recommendation was.
Just a reminder that Farage has abandoned all of his policies from the 2024 election. Including the £20,000 tax allowance and the £90 billion in tax cuts.
Thank you, I'll try to find it.
Are we taking the words of a senile, deluded, dimentia addled, war criminal seriously now?
This man recently threatened nuclear annihilation on a sovereign nation while he wears a nappy and suddenly his words have weight?
"Look what Trump said!"...so what?
The media's behaviour in this matter (including your contributions) contradicts your claim.
Robbins also said that the pressure did not affect his decision. So the pressure statement was a non-factor, according to him.
I can't think of any Prime Minister that resigned after a crushing local election defeat.
I think the vast majority of the criticism is coming those with the benfit of hindsight, I can't find any papers or news articles that criticise the appointment when it was made it December 24.
I've just been hunting around at the front pages trying to find the outrage of the Mandelson appointment and his links to Epstein but only the Time and Telegraph even reported on it and neither mentioned Epstein, in fact the front page doesn't criticise the appointment at all.
If an employee of mine took a unilateral decision (one that I wouldn't have taken) and then didn't make their actions known to me, knowing that if it came out, I would get the flack for it. I'd sack them too.
The media will be disappointed by Robbins statement to the select committee because it confirmed everything Starmer stated in his HoC speech.
The only thing they have left now is the decision to appoint, a decision many of them agreed with in Dec 24.
