Juan Soto's bat speed decline threatens Mets' $765 million investment Juan Soto's bat has slowed by 2.4 mph this season, and that seemingly small number is threatening to turn the Mets' $765 million investment into baseball's most expensive disappointment.

I went viral! All over 2.4 mph.

I didn't post this column when I originally wrote it (Monday), but I found out this morning that it has 45k+ views and counting!

Give it a read if you like baseball and analytics!

"I Hope Your Team Sucks and Loses": Inside the Head of John Kruk John Kruk has gone from beloved ball player to Phillies outcast and back again. Here's how Krukker became Philadelphia’s rambling id.

"After years compressing his candid observations as an ESPN analyst, Kruk has fully leaned in to the free-wheeling, fan-forward flexibility of the local broadcast booth — the casual camaraderie, the unabated passion, the digressive lulls — and become must-watch television because of it."

Orioles GM talks big, delivers less while AL East rivals reload The Baltimore Orioles' remarkable turnaround from 115-loss embarrassment to American League contender is now at risk.

Baltimore has flat-out botched its prep for 2025. If you polled 10 fans, I guarantee all 10 would give Elias an F for this offseason. So I broke down exactly why the frustration is justified in my latest for Yardbarker.

Joe Girardi, former Yankees manager, knew this. When his players made mistakes, he didn’t shame them—he shielded them. He understood that pressure and self-doubt were already tough enough. Instead of public embarrassment, he gave them confidence to bounce back.

I could see ppl getting confused too because your last name starts with an “A” and it could blend to look like “Lindsay” or something. Idk why my brain did that but thought I’d share

Same. I’m interested to see what it does for smaller programs in general. I always thought the Andrew Luck thing was just name brand — and I know it’s not exactly the same deal anyway — but I could see it becoming a trend collegiately if someone like Steph does well for Davidson.
