Haha. So glad someone noticed. I will start leaving Easter eggs in there now I know there’s an audience for pavement references. Probably my favourite band ever

Don’t think new owners financial operation is a radical departure from current owner; gamble on future success and hope it works.
Graphic featuring a photo of Sydie Peck in a Sheffield United shirt, overlayed onto a photo of an injured Ollie Arblaster. Beside it is text that reads: "Careers can be kickstarted on breaks like this. With Arblaster out, Sydie Peck – a former Arsenal youth team captain and current England U-20 international – is now primed to step up and play a 3,000-minute season for a promotion-chasing Sheffield United in the Championship." The graphic is set against an off-white background with red boxes.
Ollie Arblaster has done his ACL, but that opens the door for Sydie Peck. A do-it-all midfielder, the 20-year-old has impressed so far and has the skillset to fill the boots of the fallen Sheffield United captain. It could be the kickstart of a promising career.

"The grind is good for the soul. I recall one game where I read more words in a sentence of graffiti on the Kop than successful passes made by a Warnock side. Young people — young Blades — need and deserve similar experiences."
I wrote bits like this and a few more...

Bit on Kieffer in this
So I say to you all inside this hall, and the wider public beyond it - in our 100th year anniversary, we can be proud of what we've achieved. The 20th century saw many great advances in technology. The computer, the television, a man on the moon. Even the Jaguar motor car. But the greatest achievement of the Labour movement was to help shape the 20th century. To combat poverty, a welfare state. To combat squalor, social housing. To combat idleness, full employment. To combat ignorance, universal education. And at the heart of it all was the national health service - based on the socialist principle of treatment on the basis of need, not the ability to pay. Because we believe every person is of equal worth. We believe that we achieve more by the strength of our common endeavour than we achieve alone. We believe in opportunity for all, in a community where power, wealth and opportunity are in the hands of the many, not just the few. We civilised the 20th century with our democratic
To a speechwriter, John Prescott was a bit of a unicorn.
Knowingly funny, incredibly authentic, and sincere in his beliefs. Obviously, everyone remembers the "punch", and he didn't pull them.
But the square brackets at the end of this speech to the Labour Conference in 2000 are memorably epic...
Including perhaps my favourite quote of the season from @the-speechwriter.com: "You don't go for small plates after you've torn your ACL" #bskyblades #sufc

#TheRhetoricOfFootball
I'm a speechwriter who writes about football. One of the most powerful rhetorical devices is...
🔺REPETITION 🔺Emphasize your point, build pace and make messages easy to remember.
Come for Warnock, stay for reverse repetition at 1:21 🤯

Early days #BSkyBlades...
Hopefully a place of more and better conversation.
So, random non-footballing question.
What is the best live performance you've ever seen outside of football? Could be music, theatre, or another sport.
Mine would be...
Gig: Primal Scream at Benicassim, Nick Cave at Primavera, Pavement in Berlin, Macca at Glastonbury, the Streets every time.
Other sport? Not sure. Saw a unique win in the baseball at Wembley but didn’t understand its significance.
Here for it #bskyblades
