I stand corrected!

Last time I checked, Vegas was not in New Mexico…
A friend’s dad would have commented here: “Cleveland? I spent a horrible week there one night.”
I will wholeheartedly endorse this. But could we also STOP referring to fiber arts like crochet and knitting as “granny” nonsense?
Hi, I’m from Missouri, where we’ve had legislative term limits since 1992. We have no expert lawmakers. Most of the bills submitted each session are slightly worked over from lobbyists’ “template” legislation.

Hey folks, my kid is doing one of those discount card fundraisers for his school. Even if you’re not in our area, it’s possible there’s a card for your area (and who knows? Your discounts might be better than ours!)

She is so ridiculously transparent with the trolling, that it makes the blundering replies even more glorious.
I’m not sure that I didn’t buy Red Sonja: Consumed just to see how she would execute it in the book.
Did your child lose their book collection in the Los Angeles fires? Are you a teacher at a school that lost its library or your classroom library? Whether you need one book or a whole library, we can replace your books. 📚
Everyone else, please boost this post so we can connect with those in need. 🙏
Extremely unsatisfactory experience at my local #Subway today. I just want a relatively healthy meal we didn’t have to cook so we can watch football!
Gee, @primevideo.bsky.social can show me all the commercials, but the moment @nfl gameplay starts, it crashes.
I’ve just recently gotten into GGK, but when I finish The Sarantine Mosaic, he’ll also be at 5. Makes me think I should check out the rest of your list!
5 authors I’ve read 5+ books by:

We don’t do a lot of theater movies for various reasons, but I have to say that Red One is particularly good on streaming because my husband, son, and I can yell at the characters without blowback. This movie is a lot of fun! #RedOne
I spent my day accompanying 15 students (ranging from grades 3-8) from my son’s gifted program on a field trip. Really awesome stuff, but man am I glad mine is a singleton.
I saw that and thought “what the ever-loving fuck kind of pretzel logic is this?” Scanned about 3 sentences and noped out.
Is it possible he’s just trolling you?
It looks like sea ice breaking up
This is THE song that made me learn how to chase an earworm out of my brain. Unfortunately, I still only have maybe a 40% success rate (and usually end up with Jingle Bells a la Bart Simpson stuck instead if I do succeed).
Technically *before* they murder one particular staff member (the pilot), but yeah
You live in a place populous enough to have maker spaces…. Just saying.
HMU on the book of face if you’d like to check out a women’s woodworking group…
Top right quadrant looks like a cartoon snake with too many teeth trying to look scary. (Think scary Ozzy face from the 80s videos.)
Bottom right quadrant looks like his derpy friend ruining the shot.
I went to a Scout event this evening and was commiserating about the sucktitude that is shingles with grandparents of one of the other Scouts. I said it would be 2 more years until I can get the vaccine, and the woman blurted “You’re 48?! I thought you were <daughter>’s age.”
She was born in 1990.
And those “hopeless” items can be used for patches and cleaning rags! I use scraps from my husband’s worn out undershirts for cleaning and polishing shoes.
1/4” basic white shirt buttons (buy enough to replace everything on your shirt with the highest number of buttons plus 2). Black, navy, brown and white thread, plus any high frequency colors (I need purple). Yarn that can mend most of your sweaters. Sharps and darning needles. Denim patches.
I’m done. We have no further obligations to any of these people, since clearly none of them consider us family until it’s time to ask for graduation gifts…7/7
When my MIL passed, her sister joined us at the house while we waited for an ambulance. All her kids knew that evening. We found out the next day through a third party who wasn’t even sure if it was true. WTF people! You tell all the family! 6/
Last week, as we sat waiting for a Lyft, one of my husband’s long time friends called us because she heard the aunt (who she used to work with) had died. We found out it had happened the previous night. THIS is what ticked me off. 5/
We found out she had been moved to assisted living a week after the fact when we couldn’t get in touch with her about this year’s plans for her (Nov) birthday and Thanksgiving. I felt mildly slighted, but understood that the older daughter sounded overwhelmed. 4/
Her kids had a lot to deal with, not least of which was that she expected them to care for her in her home when she got to the point of needing round the clock care. All 3 have full time jobs and children with their own needs, and that wasn’t reasonable. No disagreement there. 3/
After his mom’s death in September 2001, her sister (who lived in the same town we do) made it a point to include us in every Thanksgiving and Christmas (though we sometimes traveled to my family in Atlanta instead). Last year she was diagnosed with cancer and chose palliative care. 2/
