There seems to be minimal bleed through compared to markers.
There's a variety of colours so they're useful for highlighting different points & making explanations more engaging.
Overall, their visibility, ease of use & non glare ink make them ideal
Yes I lock them away lol!

The best pens to use under the visualiser, in my opinion, are papermate flair pens.
They're bold & make writing clear. The ink is vibrant & doesn’t fade, the text is highly visible on screen.
There's no glare, they glide easily on paper, allowing for quick writing during the lesson.
Thank you Ms!
That was also my issue regarding the height.
That is why I got this standing tall desk. Much better for classroom presence.

I've just posted about PowerPoints
bsky.app/profile/msae...
It’s great that you’re reflecting on this and taking student feedback seriously. I went through a similar phase where lessons became too PowerPoint reliant, and shifting away from it made a huge difference.
So far I think that reducing reliance on PowerPoint has made lessons more engaging and interactive. Using tools like a visualiser has allowed for more dynamic expositions, live problem solving and a better connection with students.
Not relying so heavily on just PowerPoint slides has been 1 of the best things I've done to improve my pedagogical skills
It has benefited my students & I for a conducive learning environment
Student feedback is also very positive regarding less PowerPoint

#BringItOn #GirlsinSTEM #NationalEngineeringDay #GirlsRoboticsChallenge Thank you @Kathryn_EB The girls loved it!
Such a great opportunity for the students! 🤖👾👩🏿🔬👩🏼🔬👩🏻🔬🔭
Thank you so much for the advice.
I look forward to seeing how it plays out and the classroom culture it will create!
Excited for this new academic year!
Let the work begin!
Thank you Pritesh. Got it, okay so all hands up pertains more to checking if students have been listening during or after an explanation.
Can't wait to try out this pedagogy!
Hi Pritesh,
I really want to implement All hands up this academic year.
So I'm going to introduce it to my students.
When you ask your cold call question, do you say all hands up, or do students just know it's all hands up because of the set instructions you've embedded in the class?
Thank youu
Watching Abbott Elementary from season 1 again, because I can't wait till season 4 💃🏾
What wonderful messages to open up from my students this morning!

Love this!
I've just seen some predicted grade boundaries on tiktok for AQA GCSE science they seem quite High! Or maybe it's just me! 🤔 (Anyway they're just predictions)
#GCSEResults2024 then this is 2018 grade boundaries and 2023
When I say resilience, I mean helpin ur students 2 discover & create a work ethic within themselves whereby they face "educational success/ challenges"& consistently push thru, adapt, work hrd & take pride in being studious.
Teachers play a major role in helping a student open tht door & stay there!
You will definitely still need to support your top set students. They are still students who require you to teach them and challenge them. And even within a top set, you will still have different abilities.
Top set students, also does not guarantee excellent classroom behaviour.
I know some think teaching top(higher ability)sets is somewhat "easier". But there's a slight misconception here, as those students tend to really also stretch you as an educator.
Also "smart" student, doesn't necessarily mean resilient! This is also something yu may have to help your students build
Agreed!!
5 Days To Go!! #Countdown till... #GCSEResults 😅 #GCSEResults2024
Hmmmn I think at first the exposition/ explanation. If this can be introduced and broken down well, then you know what understanding you are checking for.
Thank youu 😅
Just found out my class allocations.... 💃🏾💪🏿
Interesting read.. This will be my 1st real bout of GCSE exam results after teaching a class for 2yrs, & I've always assumed that..Teachers that get the best exam results are the most effective.
So I am nervous, interested & anticipating that day. But you're right the proxy variables must be deeper
Good luck to everyone getting their A-Level results tomorrow!! #AlevelResults
8 Days To Go!! #Countdown till... #GCSEResults 😅
