if nothing else, there is something to be said for spending time outside in the sun with thousands of people who share your anger at the state of things

The goal here: recognize the untenable double-bind of women's lives under neoliberalism while opposing women's engagement in civic and economic life outside the household.
It almost doesn't matter that these claims are false - they still achieve their purpose.

The turnout at Saturday’s No Kings Day protest in Staunton was double what we saw locally in April, and I’m guesstimating may have been closer to 1,500, with people packed elbow to elbow on the courthouse lawn and lining the sidewalks on two surrounding streets.
