I'm so curious about everything data center (health, environment, energy, politics!)
Hungary's prime minister elect announcing that Orbán was funding CPAC and other Trump-related political activities (also Heritage Foundation's Project 2025), and this will now end.
Raising minimum wage meant prices increased by a whopping 1.5 percent
They didn't even do abortions! 😭
Literally created by GEORGE W. BUSH!!!!
Going to cry!!!!
Starting to worry this was not actually Door Dash’s grandmother
I believe her!!!
I didn’t know this, did you? Amazing!
Using the r-word is just bad. Democrats should have higher standards for themselves than Trump when it comes to using a slur that MANY disabled people find offensive. Looking at you, Graham Platner. New from me at @motherjones.com. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
Also: the people who know and try to do something about it are frequently punished in extreme and disproportionate ways.
Taking Tylenol during pregnancy appears to have no link to later autism diagnoses. This study is one benefit of having a robust health system :) my latest:

It's a good reminder that every data point is a person :)
This has all been a pretty big reminder of (mis)understandings about how journalists work
Last week, a worker one of Amazon's Portland area facilities died on the warehouse floor. Employees were told to look away and keep working.

🤮 never!!!!
In this case, the question is, is the patient well enough to return to work or school?
In this case, though, the test result is a big part of care. It's positive - absolutely no argument
Thank you ❤️
For sure. In this case, it's been fewer than 10 days (maybe a week?), so we're still being careful
-not
That's the kind of case that I think opens a lot of debate! But that's now the context here. My point being, resolution of symptoms seems to play little role in whether someone tests positive
Yeah the control has nothing to do with it (other than, ideally, being present)
Right, contagiousness involves a lot of different factors even beyond virions. But this seems like a classic example of someone who definitely still has Covid
Right but again I'm not talking about infectiousness - I'm talking about "you definitely have Covid"
But I'm not talking about infectiousness per se; there's a host of factors determining whether someone is contagious and whether someone else gets sick. But as a rough measure of "yes you have a lot of virus in that sample" - that's not the case? Especially if there are multiple tests?
So once again a man started a wildly successful harassment campaign against a female celebrity who didn’t actually do anything and the internet swallowed it full throated, and the whole thing is revealed to be concocted horseshit he can’t muster anything more than “sorry that happened I guess”
I can see these as reasons why it's not failproof. But you're saying the strength of the line has nothing to do with amount of virus at all?
