Many people would blame SungWon Cho for making voice actors get hired by race instead of talent now.
But really, we should blame Jenny Slate.
In 2020, she stepped down as Missy from Big Mouth because the character was Black, and just a few days later, every other animated show followed suit.
For the longest while, I could've sworn Doug Walker said "Pocahontas's daughter".
I realized he in fact said "Pocahontas, his daughter", which makes a lot more sense.
It appears SungWon Cho is voicing Doctor Doom in MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls.
By this point, I don't care if Cho is voicing a non-Asian character. What matters is if he does a great job. Voice actors should be hired by talent, not by race.
