Petition: Apply for the UK to join the European Union as a full member as soon as possible I believe joining the EU would boost the economy, increase global influence, improve collaboration and provide stability & freedom. I believe that Brexit hasn't brought any tangible benefit and there ...

This is currently gaining around 1000 signatures per day. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/70...

I know, but it makes you wonder why they can't if it's to check and balance things.

Undoubtedly, but I really can't see any sensible alternatives.

Japan has a very elderly population and still has higher standards of care than here.

Why can't the HoL block the gov't just like Congress can block the House of Reprentatives until they resolve important issues like this and utilities, rail etc?

No, but each brings different solutions and problems, I was blue but after their recent excessive bad management and treatment for sme I'd never touch them again, I'm prepared to give labour, greens, or lib dem a chance to change things.

14 years ago, they had no need for a report. Until you have control, you can't always see the full extent of the problem. 35 years ago, I took out a 25-year mortgage. Due to unforseen events, I had to extend it to a 35-year one. Should I have known I'd need to do this in advance?

Maybe they'll be in the 40 new hospitals Boris had built.

Boris Johnson claimed brexit was an oven ready deal and we were going to have an easy deal but that was just flannel too. Accounts filed at Companies House show she runs a Company with little actual income. Where does it say she's a charity or not for profit?

Pensions are a con, it's easy to wipe them out, after 40 years of saving it was doing OK then Liz truss happened and now it's worth less than I've put in, explain to me why I should save? I've brought my house yet the gov't will take it to pay for care later, and the state pension is an insult.

Why can't the HoL put forward a proposal to stop both houses claiming second home costs or at least limit them to the national average given they're not essential to do the job.

Britishvolt, Arrival Ltd, Tevva Motors, HVS Trucks, all gone bust having had £b in govt (tax payer) support now £40b for unproven technologies in carbon capture, is the UK trying to save the world on it's own? Name another developed country committing suicide through supporting these ideas.

I've asked my accountant if I can take out a business loan to pay myself more dividends than income and not repay the loan and apparently it's fraud if I do it but ok if it's big companies.

Just three news reports from today show that things are bad in our society for women and children.
Yes Sara Sarif's torturers are gaoled, but it was allowed to happen.
Cheated #WaspiWomen still don't have justice from Labour.
The most senior figures in our Church of England covered up child abuse.

They should start with themselves, scrap mp's paid holidays and annual leave entitlement, all they're offering is a returning to victoriana living standards.

I'm not sure that as the country grapples with the biggest ever debt accrued in peacetime spending £B on unproven and extremely expensive green energy is a good move, maybe rebuild the country and finance's first. Pensioners freeze, not enough homes, yet vanity projects persist.

The Bank of England governor says Brexit has undermined the UK economy. Hold onto your seats.. YouTube video by Peter Stefanovic

‘We’re getting poorer’ says Nigel Farage

In other news the Brexit he championed is on course to cut UK trade by a staggering 15% - a huge reduction in the potential economic performance of the country at a time when every penny counts

“We need to leave the ECHR so we can deport people that come illegally & take back control of our borders & that’s what the public wants”

Share if you disagree with his populist boll**** the UK should join Russia & Belarus outside the ECHR

I agree brexit is crap but that's a fault of blojo, grove etc who did the oven ready easiest deal in history. Every country is implementing some additional checks, but the Irish and EU would have known this would be an issue too so should have negotiated on it.

1 year ago 0 0 0 0

Up to a point, neither Ireland nor brexit created it. If anything, the UK is still applying an EU regulation after leaving but as a third party, maybe it's a tory super we hold all the cards on an oven ready meal deal! But at this moment in time, the UK seems to have pressed the self-destruct button

Whilst it is wrong for this to happen, nothing will change whilst legislators in HoC & HoL debate football finances instead of resolving these types of laws. People can protest, but legislators make decisions 🤔 do you know anyone in HoL that could set forth a motion to change the law? I wish i could

Petition: Commission a public inquiry into the impact of the UK exiting the European Union Given that it has stated its aim of growing the UK economy, we think the Government needs to quantify the effects of exiting the European Union as soon as possible by setting up an inquiry.

The *only* way Britain will ever rejoin the EU is when we have quantified precisely the damage it has done and the opportunities we are missing via an independent inquiry

It's a no-brainer!

So the Irish Times are blaming the UK for bringing in the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) yet the EU has Entry/Exit System (EES) & will add European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) all in the name of security exactly the same as ETA, i feel brexit is crap but not to blame?
