Last 30min should’ve been cut. Didn’t buy Nolte’s boring relationship w/Streisand (or her son). Too many characters. Focus should’ve stayed with Nolte’s past. 5.5/10

Weak title, but really good movie. Heavy tearjerker (order bulk kleenex), with plot/thematic similarities to another movie Fearless (1993). Hurt and Perkins are great. 8.5/10

16. DRIVING MISS DAISY
Don’t usually enjoy seeing people play a grouch throughout a movie (e.g. On Golden Pond), but this charmer won me over. Tandy & Freeman play it with finesse. 9/10

Stunning cinematography,sound & sound effects editing (no Oscar noms for any). Great flick (despite the Disney-esque ending). Much more animal violence than I expected. 8.5/10

Decent thriller with good performances from Poitier and Berenger. Worth it just to see Poitier take on a grizzly bear. I repeat. Poitier takes on a grizzly bear. 7.5/10

I watched this and Black Widow (‘87) and chose this one, since it’s marginally better. Watch Dreyfus and Devito at the top of their game in an otherwise mediocre flick. 6.5/10
