They’re forcing ID age verification on everyone now despite the second they rolled it out in my garbage country they immediately had a data breach of tens of thousands of IDs and selfies that they supposedly deleted immediately once a user was confirmed an adult
Reminder that Discord immediately leaked more than 70,000 government IDs the second they required scans. Fuck this, fuck off.
Also as someone in the UK the bot that scans the images you upload as already stopped me from uploading what it deems to be “explicit images” to my server, which were literally anything but. A photo of me in a selkie dress that showed just a bit too much cleavage got wrongly flagged a few weeks ago
No it’s not “nsfw” servers, it’s any public server and any server that has an age gate on it. Which people put up for bullshit reasons like “well teens are stupid and annoying, we only want Adults in our community so we don’t need to self moderate as much.” Which locks off all of them
