Sable was careful to move without making a sound, they didn't want his attention on them just quite yet.

It's fun to participate on Sundays when I get a chance to.
Especially for my birthing day.
Sundays sure do seem to be active for more than a couple reasons.

Thank you !!

It's doubtful that they ever will.
That's just the reality of it.
I've made my peace with it, it doesn't really bother me. So long as I stay on top of my smoothers, simply being alive to experience things is enough for me.
Given that I was one of those humans, I think I'm just glad that I've lived as long as I have and that I'm relatively stable.
Either way, the High Prophets did get killed, and after The Great Schism, the Sangheili turned against the other Prophets for betraying them.
Well. It would still be a lot of arrests either way.
The Prophets were numerous and perpetuated their propaganda.
It's kind of fascinating, in a way, at least from the very few transcripts I've come across with their Great Journey and some of the personal research I've taken into it.
Good luck trying to arrest hundreds of thousands of Covenant soldiers . . .
It didn't matter to them what we did, they were unrelenting.
And you would fight them, defeat them, right?
And if they try to kill you, are you prepared to defend yourself even if it means they die in the process?
How would you ensure that planets don't continue to get glassed?
But what would you do?
I'm not hearing any suggestions or solutions from you.
Tell me. What would have been a better way against an enemy hellbent on committing genocide?
The first contact we had with Covenant was them GLASSING and MURDERING over three million INNOCENT PEOPLE and rendering one of our colonies lifeless.
Tell me, how would YOU have responded to it?
Three million eradicated, men women and children. How would you handle that threat?
Most of these atrocities were kept under wraps by ONI.
If Spartans weren't made, we wouldn't have stood a chance against the Covenant.
Which may I remind you, would not negotiate, would not communicate with us. They made their intentions very clear to eradicate all of humanity.
I would say as long as it's not being used to create full bodies and people, it has its uses in the medical field.
Replacing organs that have been damaged or are failing, I would say is a good use for it.
If it could recreate lost limbs, that would be neat too, but I'm content with my prosthetics.

Oh god. I can imagine she's pretty rightfully jaded ๐ญ
ONI has done some FUCKED shit for the sake of survival and research
It's best to describe them as morally bankrupt
Flashclones, as far as I know, are pretty controversial.
We have the tech to flash clone organs and the like to make organ replacement easier but.
Using it to clone a full body would lead to a lot of complications if I had to guess.

RIP Supergirl learning about how fucked the Halo universe is ๐
I know my peers were all war orphans, like me, when we were conscripted.
You may be thinking of the twos.
At least the fours are all adult volunteers.
I can tell you with certainty, the Insurrection are not just "the opposition."
They're dangerous. They've killed ACTUAL innocents. They still do from time to time.
Random innocent people are not important enough to look into as a target for ONI.
They're not one to waste time on wild goose chases, from what I know of them.
You'd have to ask someone that knows more about it than I do.
Let me be clear, if ONI does have an assassination squad, if it exists, and they are sent out, the people in question that are targeted are FAR from being random innocent people.
And you'd have to mess up really bad in order to be on ONI's radar as a threat.
Which is why realistically, it wouldn't be one of us unless the hit was really warranted.
They're not keen on wasting time on small matters.
I wouldn't put it past them to have something like that.
I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if they had one.
Though I think they're more concerned with other matters than some random civilians, if I had to guess.
ONI has their own people for that kind of work.
Realistically, it's not worth sending a Spartan for that kind of thing, if it happened.
If anything. That happens more with the Insurgents, they target military and civilians alike. They don't discriminate between who is innocent and guilty.
This is also why I don't consider ourselves heroes, specifically.
We're Spartans. We get pointed at the enemy and fight it. That is our purpose.
. . . I don't consider myself particularly courageous or noble by any means.
Some of my actions wouldn't fall in that area, but I can live with it.
