Definitely the former. The banter in the "Swedish" accents is silly. But the musicianship and the vocals are dead-on.

This may be the only time the word "carking" has been used in TV advertising.

Yuri Gagarin’s boomerang: the tale of the first person to return from space, and his brief encounter with Aussie culture It’s 60 years since Gagarin’s world-first return from space. The cosmonaut never did make it to Australia, but his huge feat was celebrated here by many, despite tensions with the USSR.

How did Yuri Gagarin get a boomerang?

What could possibly go wrong?

It’s at this point we must praise the foresight and vision of then WA Premier Sir Charles Court, who vehemently opposed the plan. The idea of dropping H-bombs on the Pilbara to blast iron ore out of the ground was the stupidest idea he had ever heard.

Joh jumped to his feet at one stage and confirmed that he had discussed uranium mining with the Shar of Iran during his recent middle East trip.
He said that the Shar had agreed with him that if we failed to mine uranium and export it, others would take it by force.
Blast the Great Divide
There was one particularly intelligent question from the parliamentar-ians. This came from Bob Katter junior, who asked whether the Great Dividing RAnge could be blown up with A-bombs to allow water to flow inland to his electorate of Flinders.

I worked briefly for a bank back in the day, & I recall there was firearm training.

I think it was mandatory, but it was only for the blokes. Apparently we girly types were considered much too delicate to handle nasty killy things.

I remember one of the women wanted to attend, but wasn't allowed.

I worked with someone that was a bank teller a long time ago and did this firearm training. He told me that one day they came in to work and discovered the bank manager had committed suicide with the bank issued pistol so maybe it wasn't a great idea.

Yep I had one in 1979. Got to fire 6 bullets once a year at a human shaped target as my "training"🤪
