I have just given my cat ‘calming’ medication before his scan tomorrow. I am now bleeding slightly.

Had to take our cat to the vets today, was breathing strangely and wasn't right in general. Tests and scans done, with more booked in for later in the week. So far a near £500 bill and that's with insurance cover. He's now for a new bed and some tuna steak to enjoy. Poor bean.

The reason for the high cost is likely there's been a failed tap out register so it's auto applied the maximum fare. Sometimes it corrects itself with the reconcilliation at the end of day and won't charge that amount. Failing that it's just an email to sort.
