He MAGA style politics are creeping north, epecially into Alberta. We have a provincial government that is very friendly to him because of their allegiance to the oil industry. And a bunch of people who are trying to separate from Canada so they join the US.

How do you think people from outside the US feel? We had no say in his election, and have had to put up with his shit for 10 years.

I haven't read this paper. It suggests this louse is an IH for a heartworm. It was in the journal of Medical and Veterinary Entomology in 1991. Title "The louse Trinoton anserinum (Amblycera: Phthiraptera), an intermediate host of Sarconema eurycerca (Filarioidea: Nematoda), a heartworm of swans"

‘I love midges because I know what their hearts look like’: is the passion for taxonomy in danger of dying out? Insect taxonomist Art Borkent has described and named more than 300 species of midges but fears his field of science is dying out, despite millions of insects, fungi and other organisms waiting to be ...

The Grey Cup is on, so it's time, once again, to remember that Pierre Trudeau rolled up to Grey Cup in 1970 looking like this.

Jen Gerson: Maybe this angry panel will fix it! Alberta tries for Round 3 of the Fair Deal panel.

Good column.

Overdue, and filled with conclusions a lot of people arrived at many, many months ago, but hey, credit where it's due.

I went back to Firefox. Somethings it does very well, others, not so much. So I use it as my main browser and Chrome for other specialized taks.

I was camping in southern Alberta that weekend. Knew nothing about the eruption. On the Monday, we drove through Waterton Lakes National Park, and the air was so full of ash I couldn't even see the mountains across the lake. Had no idea what had happened until we got back to Lethbridge that evening.

Certain partisans have been citing Canada's performance on per capita GDP as evidence of a supposed 'lost decade' and economic mismanagement. In @irpp.org's Policy Options, I deconstruct this arbitrary and misleading statistic, in two parts. #cdnecon #cdnpoli. /2

That is the point. You could paint a cantaloupe blue and it would win here. Won't even have to show up for any debates.

Trudeau: Canada will retaliate with 25% tariffs on $155B of U.S. goods YouTube video by CBC News

Very much worth a watch if you have not yet seen the PM’s brief and moving speech to Americans and Canadians.

“From the beaches of Normandy …to the streets of Kandahar, we have fought and died alongside you during your darkest hours. We're always there, standing with you."
